Anjali Plastic Coconut Scrapper with Vacuum Base, White

This has been in my regular use since many yrs. .The previous only was good , only lately the vacuum stopped working . So I had to buy a new one . The last one lasted for nearly 5 yrs . We just have to remember not to soak the base in water. Just clean and wash the blades in water , that’s it !

The review is in the images. Good product, small and purposeful. But there are some cons- 1.The blades should be designed properly because the coconut is not that round to cover whole blade. As a result, the back portion of the blade is unused and by repeated use the frond part will blunt. 2. A brush should be provided to clean the adjancent blades. Overall, good product. Recommended for buying.

Pros : - Nice fitting base. The vacuum rubber works better on kitchen top. - Easy action. It scrapes well. Cons : - The exact round shape of blades prohibits it from reaching elliptical shaped coconuts. Had the blade been elliptical this could been added to the productivity and usage of the product. - One of the blade pieces got dislocated after a month. Anjali kitchenware were of no use and displayed irresponsible behaviour w.r.t making it good. I had to pay INR 40/- to a local utensil shop at Pune to get it welded. The unit is working good now. But this left a bitter experience about Anjali's quality.

Got this for second time. Very easy to use and the grip holds for years. Previous one had used for more than 3 years which got damaged due to fall blades got seperated body still intact. Was surprised by the products studryness and overall ergonomics. Recommended for all using coconut daily in cooking.

It took just over a month to get here all the way from India. The suction base holds pretty powerfully to my granite countertop. It's easy to assemble. It takes just a bit of practice to learn how to grate the coconut all the way to the edge, but it does a great job. It is worth the wait! I tried putting a plate or a plastic sheet to catch the coconut. That didn't work so well because so much of the coconut falls near the body of the unit. So I just make sure I've got the countertop nice and clean and then just sweep it off the counter into my container.

Good product. Easy to use

Finally real thai coconut yogurt made with coconut and water kefir. Not that junk you buy at the store full of additives.... This thing works great and i used my coconut yogurt in bread making as part of the liquid I use and it is the best gluten free bread I have ever tasted has a bit of sourdough flavour to it. An invaluable tool if you are seriously dairy free and use lots of coconut. Cuts like a dream. Just an update here. In different places I have seen mention that it does not make a good suction. I have found this true on my butcher block top and assume it is because of the natural oils in the wood. However on arborite or any other similar type of counter that does not have oils I have found the suction action to the counter to be amazing. It never lets go until I unhook it.

Not sharp

It has better suction to the previous versions. It is very sharp that it quickly grates the coconut. It is not coming off the counter top while grating the coconut. If the manufacturer can make it dish washer safe, it will be even better.
