Hatch ExoTech Elbow and Forearm Protection

I ordered this in XS/Small based on the size chart in Hatch's 2012 catalog. The chart only shows wrist to elbow length differences among the three available sizes. But upon receiving and trying them on, I can only assume the length is not the only difference among them. I don't have large forearms by any stretch of the imagination and I could barely hook around one of the two straps by the wrist, despite the fact that they are elastic. I need to find a velcro extension piece in order to make this work for me.They also come with plastic buckles that are meant to be attached to the upper arm pieces of Hatch's exotech body armor. But I intend to use these by themselves for now and those buckles can't be removed unless I cut the straps. So I have to let them dangle.While the insides are nicely padded, they are still rather uncomfortable to wear on bare arms, you should wear long sleeves underneath or I suspect you'll get chafed.One upside is there is padding that wraps around and covers underneath your forearm and partially covers the inside wrist area. You can't see it from the photo, but any additional protection is welcomed by me.

I'm still waiting for society to fall apart before wearing these long-term, but they do offer Superior forearm protection in the event of societal collapse. I'm sure they will soften overtime as I help to rebuild a meaningful community of morally Superior survivors.

Everything fits as expected under normal long sleeves. If you don't buy the torso protection it comes with you'll have an extra strap. There is a buckle that goes up from the elbow end of it that should click into the torso protection that I didn't buy. It stays in place good enough but I had to cut the buckle off since there's no other way to keep it out of my way. Kind of wish I knew that before buying.

Cumbersome and not a great fit. You get what u pay for. A little awkward

Got these for airsoft. They work good,but they do bind my arms a little. Great protection though.
