Which one is it? Is it 12 pairs (24 strips) or 12 strips?** A: There are 24 strips in the package I received today. **Q: Will it work on fabric to hang on a wall?** A: Yes and no. The adhesive isn't meant to stick to porous textures like fabric. In my experience, the adhesive won't stick for long. (Maybe it would on a very dense, smooth, lightweight synthetic fabric that generates absolutely NO lint - but even then, I'm doubtful.) That said, I've had EXCELLENT luck using Command picture hanging strips on the wall and strips of Velcro (important - MUST be the fuzzy side) that I've sewn onto my tapestry. If anything, it sticks TOO well: when I want to remove the tapestry, I have to hold down each Command strip's tab to keep the strip from ripping off the wall (which can cause paint damage if not "stretched" off the proper way). **Q: Will these work on stainless steel refrigerators or would the refrigerator hangers be better. I need to hang a 24" 32" calendar??** A: I have used the Command strips on many different surfaces but never stainless steel. I would refer to the manufacturer's information. I have used them several times now around the office and at home. From a large light weight painting to a heavy dry erase board. Sticks great on cinder block and drywall or plaster wall. This does not work well for use on bathroom tile. I used 3 strips to attach my small plastic container on the tile to hold all my icy hot patches and bengay up and off the bathroom counter. That was more than enough to hold 14-16 lbs. my contained and its contents only weighed about 3 lbs but it fell off within 2 days. That is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. I'm assuming the tile surface is way too smooth and/or has something to do with the humidity in the bathroom because I have no vent system in there. Great option if you do not want to pound holes in your walls or live in an apartment and want to make sure you get your entire security deposit back.
