Better than my original controller
I recently needed to replace my PS3 controller, mine had come to the end of its life and I wanted to find something that didn't cost an arm and a leg, something that either was Sony brand or so close to it that I wouldn't notice it wasn't. After lots of research and reading reviews, I settled on this one. I'm relieved and thrilled with how these work.Look and feel: They look really cool, they feel sleek and despite some reviews, have decent weight to them. They don't feel like I'm playing with an empty shell of plastic, and I like the grooves in the back of the handles that fit my fingers well. Despite its sleek, soft plastic surface, it won't go flying out of my sweaty gamer hands.Battery Life: They came fully charged, and after playing with one for several hours, the battery only dropped down two bars. It actually has better battery life than my original PS3 controller! I'll come back and update this if that changes, but after 4 hours of playing I'm pretty happy.Connecting to Console: Easy as 123. I turned on my PS3, plugged the controller into the PS3 with the USB cord that came with it, and turned the controller on. That was it.Value for money: Easily half the price of buying a used Sony PS3 controller, and it comes with two. This is worth the money.

Good price good buy
These were a great buy. The price is great and they work great. They do have a slight delay when first starting to play but stops before actual game play.

Becomes Unresponsive Occasionally
So far after using these for almost two weeks, they've worked out great as a third party controller. However, the skull controller has disconnected on me twice when the battery life was full. And when I say disconnected, I mean that it's still "tethered" to the PS3, but it locks the last input I used (generally a direction on the joystick), so the character I'm using in a game (like Skyrim as an example) will indefinitely walk left or forward until I connect the controller with the USB cable and the controller resets. During this "disconnect", the controller is completely unresponsive. The galaxy controller has also done this disconnect on me once, but it hasn't done so again as of this review. The battery life on these are pretty decent as well. I've used them for about 6 - 8 hours before the battery drops down to 2 bars or 1 bar, which seems to be the average of the standard Sony PS3 controller in my past experience. The controller joysticks are also very stiff at first. But after using them for a while, they did loosen up. It also seems like when I barely move a stick, there is no "middle" movement. It's almost like when I barely move the stick to the left or right to make my character move slowly or to use lockpicking, it's difficult to do this.So far it's not been too much of an issue for me personally, but I've primarily been reliving the worst version of Skyrim on this thing with these controllers, so it may vary with other games that require more stealthy movements or what have you.And lastly, as I've gotten the more negative things with these bad boys out of the way, I will say this about the controllers. It's possible that I might have gotten a bad batch in terms of the disconnects/unresponsiveness, but the price bad at all. I still think you're better off finding an official Sony version, as always, but doing so may be more pricey. If you are unable to find a reasonably-priced Sony version of the controller, then these will get you by. Just be sure to temper your expectations with them.

Faulty Garbage, Edit: need refund
My ps3 controllers are old. Buttons are sticky, randomly presses buttons due to sensitivity I suppose.Got these. Looked cool, figured they'd fit. Need an extra cause I still have those days where I got old friends come over and want to play COD. My girlfriend loves skull and galaxy designs, so I figured she'd like them too.Worst $25 spent. The controller doesn't fit my hand the way the official playstation ones do, the grooves are useless unless you have small hands, which isn't the case for me, as I have slightly abnormally larger hands for a 5'7 man. They dont fit on a ps3 charging platform, as the front between the triggers is curved for design, unlike the official playstation ones being comeplely straight, with some polygonal design. They never have any indication as to whether or not they are done charging. Had them charging for 2-3 days without usage and they still blink, but I suppose they last a while regardless. Just would like to know so I can turn my ps3 off.And even with all of that, I was fine with the product, until on two separate occasions, the controller locks up, and stops working entirely. It shows it's on, but none of the buttons are responsive, meaning I have to get up and plug it back in. Basically, it has connection issues. The thing was plugged in for 2 days. With the station on. Yet I'm sitting here writing this review because I'm playing Mass Effect 2 on insane difficulty, similar to all games I play, and watching my death screen due to my controller becoming unresponsive. The controller didnt die, because when it automatically turns off or when I plug it back in, it works.Dont buy this. Its garbage. Ordering a controller from a different manufacturer literally moments after I'm done writing this review.Edit: it has happened a third time. Within 20 minutes of the last one. I would like a full refund please.
