The Bald Eagle (A True Book: American History) (A True Book (Relaunch)) Paperback – March 1, 2008

Content is very good, but the quality of the book itself is not. The cover is extremely thin as are the pages - the pages feel only slightly better than magazine pages. I have a bunch of this collection in my kids' book list, but not sure I'm actually going to buy more as the quality is really lacking. Was very surprised to have received Scholastic books of this quality. Definitely won't pay full price for anything in this collection. Again, the content is very good, much better than the actaul book.

My grandson is 8 and learning to read and interested in eagles. He wanted an eagle bookmark at a craft fair and so I surreptitiously bought it and a couple small books on eagles to go with it as part of his Christmas gift. The thing he really wanted was the Angry Birds Mighty Eagle - a real investment, but thanks to Amazon and Prime membership, I was able to get that too for much less than I had previously seen it. So the eagle gift is complete!! I can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning and this eagle book will be a nice informational part of the total.

Great read for young readers. Informative and nice photos. The book is very thin (almost like a magazine), so don't expect it to last long if you have very young kids.

I used this book when teaching my first graders a unit on U.S. Symbols, specifically the bald eagle. This book gives lots of good information without being too challenging for a primary student to understand. The photos are beautiful. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for supplemental information on teaching the bald eagle to children.

The format of this book is very colorful, and exciting. I read this book to my students during our eagle unit, and it is my favorite book of that unit. The facts are interesting and appropriate for a primary classroom. If you teach about eagles, you need this book.

The photographs are lovely and the text is just enough to share with my younger family members. This book is an excellent introduction to the magnificent symbol of our country.
