Gil Elvgren: Pin-Ups Postcard Set Loose Leaf – December 5, 2014

These are AMAZING!!! I love any art related to the retro pinup girls of back in the day, so imagine my excitement when I stumbled across these!! The best part is that although it says 100 - it really means duplicates of 50 individual postcards. Which, I guess for some, that would be a disappointment, Not for me! For me it means I get to keep a couple of my favorites for framing and home decor. I very much highly recommend this product. Not only are the cards beautifully printed but they are of quality card stock as well in case you want to use for postcrossing or to send to a friend. I couldn't be happier about this purchase.

GREAT cards! You get 100 cards/ 2 of each design, so the best thing is you have one to send and one to keep for yourself! A cool mix of vintage pinup girls, some sexy, some funny, even some for holidays! Comes in a neat "book" shaped box so you can store it upright on a shelf. LOTS of compliments on these.

On the Amazon website this product is titled "Gil Elvgren: Pin-Ups Postcard Set." However, as one other reviewer noted only a handful of the 50 different cards are by Gil Elvgren. Nowhere on the box is this product titled "Gil Elvgren Pin-Ups. Sure, the pin-up on the cover is by Elvgren, but in no way does it imply that ALL of the cards are by Elvgren. Amazon would be better off relisting this product simply as "Pin-Ups," or "Taschen: Pin-Ups Postcard Set" since all of the pin-ups are from Taschen's (whoever or whatever that is) collection. IF YOU ARE EXPECTING NOTHING BUT PIN-UPS BY ELVGREN YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED, AS I WAS.

Beautiful set of pin-ups. Quality set of prints to enjoy. The choice of pin-ups is great as is the rich color on the cards. Do not hesitate to purchase your set before this sells out. I bought two sets.

I loooove these! I think I waited for over 2 months for these to be in stick; but it was worth the wait! Gorgeous and happy to have 2 copies of each. One to mail and one to keep!!

50 different Elvgren girls. Probably the least expensive way to collect Gil Elvgren work. Keep in mind there are two of each pose so that works out to 50 different poses. Oversize postcards on shinny stiff cardstock.

Very sexy pin-up postcards. I have found that I need to put them in envelopes when I mail them though because someone always steals them before they reach their destination.

I waiting in anticipation for this pack to arrive. From the was the set is advertised, I thought I was buying Gil Elvgren pin-up postcards, but the cards in my box only have a few of his. The rest are of other artists, and these others take up the majority's - so the box and advertising is misleading. Elvgren has a distinctive style. The others are non descript in comparison. Disappointing.

Elvgren's pictures have been a passion of mine for many years and I wanted some smaller ones to put into frames as well so this is ideal. There are 50 different images that are repeated twice in the 100 cards, so if you actually wanted to post one to somebody you still have one to keep. Worth the tenner I paid and then some.

A wonderful and large selection of superb postcards. You get about 3 copies of each card. The card quality is good.
