One of the must have paperback books.
The title The Hindi Music Jukebox is fascinating. The authors concept to look at Hindi film songs, especially of golden era, from a different perspective makes it very attractive and we start to wonder why not we look at the songs from this angle. The auther Manek Premchand has an excellent command on the language he writes and his research along with the minor details makes him a true musicologist. A must read book for all Hindi film music lovers, I would say.

Confusing book
Bought after reading so many reviews that it was a wonderful book and great etc. Are these superlative reviews computer generated? Or written by family and friends and backscratchers. Could not finish the book. Written in a cavalier style and copied from already published articles some of which I saw on the internet. The two star is for the wide coverage of topics , but most of the points are there in many forms across the internet.
