I had a metal insert wood burning fire place. It had angled sides to focus the fire out while burning wood. Both sides were in the way of the unit going in all the way. I needed to remove about 12" on both sides to get the unit to fit. After cutting both sides out I installed an outlet inside the fireplace opening to hide the plug from view. The wife and I do not like to see cords if possible. This was possible as I extended the power from a convenient outlet just to the left about 16" away. I did need to add about a 1/4'-3/8" piece of wood painted black again to hide at the bottom to take up the last little gap that was there. This particular model/unit has a removable glass and three holes on the left and right to mount the unit from falling out of the opening, which I used. The unit was an easy install once the opening was ready. I repainted the metal just outside the edge of the insert in flat black it needed a small touch up.I like the packaging it came in plenty of Styrofoam and even built in handles in the box and in the unit itself for ease of moving the unit around. The many features are really great for all the variety you can have when in use: color change, hi or low fan real quiet, flame intensity (height), temperature control, timer in case you go to bed and forget to turn it off! I would recommend this unit to friends and I would buy it again should we ever move. I have to say that the customer service that I have experienced has been phenomenal!!! There is just one small inconvenience the remote which works fantastic!, is that the frequency the remote uses is the same frequency of our sound bar, upright fan, and our humidifier. So if you aim the remote in any area the other appliances are near you might affect their speed or operation. Also vice a versa try to operate one of the other remotes and it affects the fireplace. Not a big deal if you aim the remote just right! There might be a restriction on what frequency manufactures can use, or are limited to. Not Valuxhomes fault that would be my only change I would make if possible. Other than that you would make a good choice if you bought a Valuxhome electric fireplace insert!!!*** AGAIN CHECK YOUR FIREPLACE MEASUREMENTS AND THE FIREPLACE INSERT SIZE BEFORE PURCHASING SO YOU HAVE A GREAT OUTCOME AS WE DID!****Just a regular guy who likes to tinker.Thanks

Package arrived safely today, minus one small hole punched through both sets of boxes. Fortunately it was on the rear of the unit and didn't cause any damage. Being an avid home re-modeler and a stickler for details, I can say that this is a fantastic unit. Very solid, thick glass front, well constructed. The factory has it shipped with the logs installed, which produce an amazing glow. The picture on the website doesn't do it justice. There is minimal blower hum, however I will insulate the shelf which it will rest on, once it's installed inside the wall. Not an issue.For a snug in-wall install, the framing dimensions are 45 1/2" x 20 1/2". 5 1/2" depth is probably the minimum based upon the cord positioning in the rear. BTW..this is for the 50" unit. I would not recommend a hanging install, due to the weight. However, the unit is completely encased. Nothing bare showing.All said, I would definitely purchase another one, if applicable.

Had to return the fireplace but it’s beautiful

We loved this unit so much we bought it again when we moved and renovated. Three flame colors are enough for us. Beautiful vibrant colors with five intensity settings. Throws great heat if you want it. Ultra sleek designer look. Be sure to follow directions about plugging in, unplugging etc when installing. If you are recessing as we did I recommend a rear access to your plug if possible (ie in the rear wall behind the fireplace accessible from the other side).

I was very nervous about purchasing, it was the most expensive purchase I’ve made on amazon thus far, I purchased the 72inch Armanni Fireplace when it arrived the first time the glass was shattered I was heart broken. Contacted customer service and all I can say is amazing! I could literally call or text them at any time and they would quickly respond. They sent a replacement very fast and absolutely love this item the quality is amazing! We receive so many compliments extremely happy with this purchase! Picture does not do it justice!

I really like this product. My wife and I wanted a fire place that would warm our large and occasionally drafty bedroom. The Armanni 50 accomplishes this perfectly. The room warms up quickly without getting too hot. We both like that the unit automatically turns off if the heat is too high. More than once we have fallen asleep without setting the timer and unit turned off sometime in the night. Even on the nights where it not as cold, we enjoy falling asleep to the realistic looking fire. Would definitely recommend for a friend.

Less then 2 years of purchasing the fireplace it quit. Finally looked at it and found the wires were burned. Not safe for sure. It also was not quiet! I also had it on its own outlet and circuit which I had an electrician install

The media could not be loaded. I can't tell you enough how much we love this fireplace! It was easy to install, but the directions were weird. I wish the glass were a little more secure on the front of it, but I really can't complain...it's beautiful and cozy and quiet and warm. Best purchase ever!
