Best back scratcher I've used
I have gone through my fair number of back scratchers. My #1 complaint is that most don't really scratch, they kind of rub the surface, the tips are too rounded, or you just can't get the pressure you need. So as a hail mary i did a search for "aggresive back scratcher" and low and behold i found this. The first scrap along my back made my eyes roll into the back of my head. This was the first back scratcher that actually scratched! The curve made it easy to get pressure when going over my shoulder or from the side. The fact it is longer one way, allows for a long scratch or a quick scratch, depending on the need.I had a friend over and she noticed it and asked about it, she used it and also loved it. At one point she stuck it under her bra strap on her back and just slide to the side, along the strap and her knees nearly gave out. She was very adament that i shared the link for this as she needed one this good.would definitely recommend

Best I've Ever Used
I've been looking for a great back scratcher since the one I bought in the 1970s - yes I still have that one. This itch stick - it's unbelievable. I didn't think the curve in it would make that much difference but it does. I didn't think the black end would be that great. I had bought it for the curved end but after using the black end that's all I ever use now. It's the best 14.95 I ever spent in my life.I also was hesitant because of other reviews said things about quality control. Well mine is perfect, I have no issues and I would buy another one.

My itch is no longer…
I keep this close to me. My back screams for it every once in a while. It’s the very best back scratcher I have ever tried.

Great product, I disagree with those who said that it is hard to use
First of all I'd like to say that I have both Back and Shoulder problems and reaching my back can be difficult for me. I am 6'1" and have a long torso and I found that this product was great. It was sturdy and efficiently relieves me of itching. I've had it for almost a month now and use it a couple times each day at least. I'd also like to say that other than those cheaply made wooden ones from the dollar store this is the only back scratcher I've purchased. I saw cheaper ones, some metal and some wood, but what caught my eye and made this stand out was 1) the curved design and 2) the scratch pad. I've read people saying it was too thin. The wood is sturdy with a nice finish. I measured it just over a half inch by a quarter inch and is very sturdy. If they're talking about the scratch pad being thin, all you have to do is move it while you scratch to cover more area. I've read people saying it was too short or hard to use, that it keeps rolling over, it is too slippery or underperforms. Maybe this is more of an operator problem than product problem. So I'm' going to help you by telling you how I use it so that it is efficient. The two pictures demonstrate where I hold the product.1) Scratch pad - When I want to use the scratch pad and am going under my shoulder (shown in picture) I seat my thumb in the curved area of the opposite side applying pressure with my index finger (pointer) and middle finger. The ring finger and pinky rest on the back of the wood providing support and control. If I am using the scratcher by going over my shoulder, the thumb is still seated inside the curve and I just use my index and middle fingers for support and control.2) Finger side (not sure what they call this side officially)- Going over my shoulder I hold my thumb at the inner end of the scratch pad while the other fingers provide support and control (shown in picture). If I am going under my shoulder I simply pivot the scratcher 180 degrees with my thumb in the same area, all 4 fingers again in the back for support and control.Using this product the ways I described above with over 50 uses, I could reach my entire back easily, no slips, no problem with the length, no problem with the thickness of the ends, and never rolled over once.I hope this helps

What's different about the Itchstix scratcher?
If you watch the video about the Itchstix, the host shows the usual curved end of a bamboo scratcher is the "handle" for the Itchstix-- that's because they intend you to use the glued-on spikey strip to scratch with, not the traditional end. They also did not sharpen the traditional end, so it really won't give anyone much relief, but the black spikey strip works well. I'm concerned how long it will stay attached, and although the curve is nice, I wish the stick was longer. The bamboo part is smoothly finished and doesn't feel fragile. 4 out of 5 stars.

Wonderful for those with shoulder issues
I have frozen shoulder in both of my shoulders. I also have very dry skin and ITCH all the time. I LOVE this back scratcher. The little points feel like sharp fingernails. I can barely use any pressure and it is a nice, soft, relaxing scratch, or I can dig in and really get an itch. The handle is curved just enough to make it possible to reach my entire back. The only thing I wish for, would be a thicker handle. I can imagine someone with grip issues would have a problem holding on to the handle.

Exactly what I was after.
Was worried it wouldn't be sharp enough for me as a like a nice hard scratch but the reviews were great so I decided to give it a go. Very glad I did, works perfectly and will probably look at purchasing another one so my partner and I have our own as she keeps stealing it lol
