I was afraid it was going to be too small, or too flimsy. But it's solid oak and very sturdy. It goes together in a snap. It holds heavy books with no problem. I currently have three 2 1/2" thick, by 10" tall, by 9" wide books on it along with four regular sized books and there's room for another. This keeps books I need by the computer in one place instead of multiple piles. Get this.

Exactly what I was expecting. Very well packaged for shipping (a refreshing change, of late.)Managed to put first part in wrong, but that was easily fixed. Now providing book storage just as I had imagined.
