Cross Selectip Gel Rollingball Pen Refill, Black, 1 per Card (8523)

This is the proper refill for my wonderful heavy Cross pen that Cross no longer produces (which is awful because it is heavy and is the only pen, I can use to write so anyone can read because I have essential tremor), but back to the refill. The ink flows freely with no blots, the ink flows at a consistent rate from the minute the point touches the paper, it dries quickly. The only time it starts to skip is right when it runs out and I have always thought that was a big help and great way to let you know time for a new refill. One word of caution. It will not write on photographs that are glossy or glossy paper. The slick paper (like wax paper) does not allow for the ball to gain traction.

I was surprised that no "big box" store carried them any more. I was very glad to find them on Amazon. They are very high quality!

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Don't skimp or be lazyand get a generic refills. Buy the originals and enjoy the sensory experience of writing when you choose it over typing/speaking.

This refill fails to write, fails to dispense ink every time I use it. When I first opened and put it in my pen it fit and wrote ok. From that first time onward it stops working in the middle of every sentence! How frustrating is that when I am trying to write a personal note in a get well or sympathy card?! AArgh! and of course it fails after the time allowed for returns - DON"T BUY!!

Was looking for a replacement for my Cross Edge that was listed as a 0.7mm Gell rolling ball refill 0712 but could not find that anywhere. This Cross Selectip Gel Rollingball Pen Refill, (8523) worked as a perfect refill. I was so glad as I was not ready to be finished with my Cross Edge pen yet. Cross should be more helpful in letting you know what will work when the discontinue a certain refill so you know what else works, but hey, hopefully this helps you if you are looking for it as well.

This was a replacement cartridge for my cross pen, and it worked just as I expected it to.
