Craniosacral Therapy

Great introduction to the art of craniosacral therapy. As a practical learner I had to study the anatomy as well as the text written in the book. When you attend a module in CST this book will work hand in hand with course literature given. My favourite quote from the book so far is "Visualisation is the sine qua non of self regulation".

This book was recommended by Jonathan Lawrence, our course tutor in Devon, as the most comprehensive and accessible book for beginners in craniosacral therapy. I didn't buy it until two thirds of the way through the course and this turned out to be a good idea: I needed to "see and do" - to experience and gently manipulate the involuntary mechanism for myself - before the text made perfect sense. I like Upledger's practical approach to what can become a mystical subject in some schools, yet he does still recognise that there are things we don't understand about why this therapy works, and the need for much further research. Very well written by the way.

I have studied CST for three years and found the first time I read this book to be the most scary thing ever, and that I would never be able to understand the very detailed graphic breakdowns of the cranial anatomy, but if you sit back and view it little by little using your course notes too you realise the genius of the way it is constucted so you can use it as a reference all the way through your training. So it is one book for everything!! Money well spent and education well constructed well done Dr John!

I am training to be a craniosacral therapist it is very detailed and informative but not for someone looking for general information on craniosacral therapy WAY too detailed a bit mind bogalling if you dont know the procedures.
