Zoom APH-6 Accessory Pack for the Zoom H6 Handy Digital Recorder

This things just plain awesome. I've heard the noise is a bit more than the Tascams, but I've been more than happy with the performance of the device and as a audiophile I don't consider it a bad compromise in any form whatsoever.

Yes, it is a bit more expensive than it should be, but you can solace yourself that the lovely Zoom H6 you purchased is very reasonably priced. This kit adds some essential accessories: an A/C adapter so your player can continuously record far beyond what a set of batteries would allow, a furry windscreen for recording outdoors, and, perhaps most importantly, a remote control so that you can perform basic operations on the H6 without introducing noise by actually touching the device itself. Yes, all these things should have come with the original H6 kit, but when you consider how reasonably priced the original H6 kits are, its pretty much a no-brainer to round off the functionality of the Zoom. Five Stars.

The Accessory kit for the ZOOM H6 only get's 4 out of 5 stars because I think it was rather expensive for what it offers. $40 would have been more ideal since the main thing you want in here is the remote, the deadcat (windscreen/ furry thing), and the A/C adapter. Nonetheless, it's a necessity, and ZOOM knows that. That's why it's $60. A price that most people will adapt to without breaking the bank too much. It worked for me because I was tired of buying batteries and running out of juice during long periods of filming. This Accessory Pack is: For You: - If you are out doing a lot of on-location shooting and the wind is treacherous. The Remote and DeadCat come in handy. - If you forget to recharge batteries the night before sound recording. - If you are tired of buying batteries for the Zoom H6. Not For You: - If you could care less bout wind and do post audio correction - if $60 breaks the bank - If you don't have a storage place for all of these items it comes with - If you don't need a remote or AC adapter, and can buy a separate DeadCat for cheap.

The remote is the key for your H6, the windshield is handy for obvious uses and the USB connector is handy for many devices. Combined with rechargeable batteries and you are set!

Just what I needed (and a couple things I didn't). Didn't need the charging brick, but the remote is really handy and works flawlessly.

J'avais râté l'opportunité d'un pack qui proposait avec le H6 avec ces articles. Quelques temps plus tard je les trouve ici à un prix dérisoire. La petite télécommande est d'utilité public pour des enregistrement solo de voix-off, la bonnette est de qualité extra-ordinaire, ne perdez pas de temps à tenter moins cher, adaptable ne vaut jamais l'original, jamais.

I have buy this before 3 years but I never use in my H6

The deadcat does exactly what you would expect. It has a elasticated pull cord to hold the deadcat to the XY microphone. It is lined and seems to be good quality. Should last and the last time I checked, it cost more as a single item than the whole kit. The remote (and extension cord) are surprisingly well designed. If you have the H6 kit with the mid-size capsule microphone, the remote fits on its side in the corner of the black case (opposite side to the capsule microphone). It is extremely compact, with the red/yellow indicators that match the H6 in operation. First time use, you may need to be more forceful plugging in the jack to make it work. If you were to look around the Internet, you'd probably think this kit sells with a N.American plug for the USB charger - it doesn't if you buy it from a local supplier. I received a UK plug USB charger from Amazon UK. It's only a 1A output, so nothing out of the ordinary, but looks well made. You get a USB cable that's no different than the one supplied with the H6. For the deadcat and the remote, it's worth it for the better sound quality (if you plan on using the onboard microphone).
