Neverest® RK 5" is an Excellent duct damper and Works with the slightest amount of air movement.
Excellent duct damper. I order and received a different 5" damper bade by ECOPRO originally but there were two springs on the 5" damper flaps, and it took quite a force to push open the flaps, so I ended up returning that and ordering the Neverest® RK 5" Backdraft Shutter Damper. The damper opens with a minimal amount of pressure and the quality of the unit is great. My issue was that we have a down draft cooktop and when there was a descent amount of wind outside, we would get a flow of cold air (IT was in the early spring) blowing out the downdraft grill on the cooktop, so I needed to prevent the wind draft from blowing into the ducting from outside. I installed the Backdraft Shutter Damper in a 5" metal flexible duct, and it took about 45 minutes from start to finish to complete the job. Now even with the slightest outside breeze the damp shuts and does not allow any draft into the house!

Works at it should
Stopped the major backdraft I had in my rangehood. Worked as it should and opens quite easily.

Works, but maybe too well.
So I installed a new duct to my garage to help take the edge off the temps in the dead of summer and winter. I didn't want the hot summer air or cold winter air filtering back through the system into my home so I installed one of these to keep the back flow out. Well, as it turns out the air flow through my ducting isn't strong enough to overcome the strength of the spring that keeps the flaps closed. By the time I figured all this out, it was too late to remove it from my installation so I simply put a paperclip on the butterfly flaps to hold it open all the time. So.. it is what it is.

Good Quality- Worked For City Code Inspection Requirement For Outdoor Commerical Dryer
Good Quality- Worked for City Code Inspection Requirement for outdoor Commerical Dryer. Install straight forward with arrows as directed for flow / operation of ducting flapper. Installed with very short sheet metal screws to prevent lint build up inside ducting. Can be installed with hose clamps if non city code requirement.

Works best for bathroom vents with the 4” to 3” adapter.
Product worked as I had hoped. I put these on a bathroom vent that was going too much air from outside.

Perfect as the description
Worked perfect, no more wasted AC or heating. Did have to caulk around the perimeter and then use metal duct tape

Poor Quality
Catches on its own hinges and doesn’t not open each time. Looks like this will get struck closed and the operator will not k ow because it’s in the attic and cannot be seen. I am returning this now.
