This is the perfect lamp for me. The options for color tone and intensity are granular enough for me to really dial in my preference depending on the task and ambient light levels in the room.The build quality is outstanding. Solid materials, weight, etc. I can really extend the arm without it toppling, and the hinges adjust fluidly while maintaining their position where you leave them. The light’s flood size is more than enough for the small desk I’m using it on.Aesthetically, I love the slim minimal design. It’s sleek and unobtrusive. Clean lines, and a minimal footprint on the desk surface.One thing I was a little concerned about when I ordered it was the small blue light on the power button, which remains on when the lamp is off. I had another LED lamp with the same feature that I ended up giving away because that tiny blue light lit up half the room with all the lights off. This lamp does NOT have that problem. The blue light cannot he turned off, but it does not light up a dark room like a disco. I would have no hesitation using it as a bedside lamp, something that was out of the question with my previous LED lamp.All in all, an excellent choice!

First of all, the lamp is of stout construction, especially compared to many of the LED desk lamps available in chain stores. It sits on my desk, and is quite stable, though I've extended it nearly as far as it will go. Fortunately, it remains steady in this configuration. I don't really like to have it too high, because the light (if too high), tends to shine in my eyes. By lowering the light source, it perfectly illuminates my workspace, without blinding my with glare from the light bar. It's an unappreciated feature by some, but I like it for the night work I do. It really lowers the eyestrain, being able to do this. One can change the color temperature, by preselected increments with the appropriate button at the base of the light. The manual provided, states that the light is capable of 350 lumens of brightness, though this may be lowered as well. I found it quite adequate for my larger desk. This light has a neat feature, that can charge your phone, by a USB plug at the back of the lamp, or by laying your phone on a flat plate atop its base, that will do the charging wirelessly. That's a neat feature, if your phone uses the Qi-BPP wireless charging format. The power adapter appears to be of sturdy construction, though the cord seems to use single strand conductors. There's no reason there would be a problem with this for me, as I'm not moving the light about, and coiling, and uncoiling the power cable a lot. However, constructing the cord of multi-strand wires, might make the cable more durable. Understand, this isn't a criticism of its construction. I may be perfectly adequate for your needs. Remember, this unit is eligible for Taotronic's 18 month extended warranty, which should bring it to 2.5 years of coverage, if you register it with the company. There's no charge for this, and all one need to do is register the light on the website. That's quite a warranty, for no additional charge. Time will tell as to the durability of the light, and I'll add a bit to the review about a year from now. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Has a sturdy, weighted base with a rubber/foam bottom that helps it from sliding (I still put sticky-tak beneath it to give a little extra 'permanence'), and the different light choices are awesome, depending on what I'm doing. Each light selection (soft white, hard light, bright white, etc.) has five different 'brightness' levels, and I love that all I have to do is touch the symbol to change it. Reacts very quickly to touch. Not as tall as described, though--it does not stand 26"; high, but about 20 or so; I'll try to update when I can get a moment to measure exactly. However, I would definitely buy it again.Update: (I long ago forgot I said I would update....unless you unfold it to the full 45-ish degrees it can be opened to, which is completely impractical for my everyday uses, it will stand about 17" tall at a 90-degree angle, give or take depending on how high you set it.)

This light is all metal so it feels substantial. I have many products from this company and they are all very good products and would buy them again. With that said when shopping for one of these lights make sure you read the specs carefully. With this one, the light part does not swivel, so if that is important this one does not do that. Pay attention to the Watts output, this one is rated at 9 watts, some others are rated up to 14 watts which may be to bright but all these lamps can be turned down to a lower light output.As far as all the light colors or temperature selections available, I am not sure how important that is when using it for short period doing the monthly bills, however for others doing hours of school, that would probably more of an issue. Example my Dell business computer screen changes it's display when it get dark to a night light setting, more yellow and pleasing to the eyes.This lamp weighs 2.6 pounds so is heavy enough so it won't knock over easy.The off/on couldn't be easier, tap the small blue light in the base and on it goes. The last setting you used will be remembered. Tap the picture of the sun to the right of blue on/off switch and light intensity changes brightest to dimmest. The symbol on the left side of the power switch changes the color/temperature of the light. Couldn't be simpler.When choosing one of these lamps it's not knowing what part of the lamp is plastic and what is metal is the problem and confusing. Certain parts being plastic doesn't matter, like the cover for the base or cover for the light unit. A totally metal lamp with more power is going to drive the cost way up so this lamp strikes a balance between power and construction--a good choice.
