MICHELIN 008301 Easy Grip Snow Chains Evolution n°7

I have 2 sets of these chains On one car, a VW Jetta they are very easy to put on because the wheel well is higher off the tire so simple to put on, put half on pull forward or backward and pull the other half on. The other car I have these for is a VW GTI and the car sits lower and not much room on the wheel well. More difficult to put on but I have found if I get my jack out and lift the front of the car (wheel well up) then they are simple to put on. We have a long steep driveway and today my daughter couldn't make it back up it. We put on these chains and the car drove right up. Snow or ice they have worked great. I believe these chains work and are pretty amazing.

I don’t understand how can people say they are hard to install. You put half of the chains over the tires, then you move the wheels half turn then you finish with the installation. Very easy. You have to make sure they are the right size for your tires though. They work really well on ice and over not so deep and harder snow.

I would recommend the fabric style traction devices over these after using both types.

This is the worst product I’ve bought from Amazon. It’s hard to install and what’s more awful is that it can’t stay on the tire for even 3 miles. The inside rubber band can’t drag it well, so that it looses during driving and fly away in the end. Terrible experience. I spent 1 hour to install and it couldn’t even last for 10 mins. Have to buy a traditional snow chain in gas station in the end.
