Drive right out of the package did not look like the picture in the listing - the listing shows a drive with a tray, light, eject button, etc., what I got was a barebones slot-style drive with none of that. Nothing else included in the box but a card with badly-translated Chinese->English.EDIT: The "Verified purchase" line doesn't even have the color right. What I got was silver.Put a DVD in that I was intending to backup to my PC - disc was detected but kept having read errors. Not a heavily used or scratched disc at all, so should have been no problems. Tried to eject the disc and it didn't seem to work, picked up the drive and the disc just fell out. Now any attempt to put any disc in results in it making loud grinding/clicking noises for a few seconds, then spitting it back out. Luckily it doesn't seem to have scratched up the disc at least.So....I wasn't expecting much for $29.99, but this is completely useless. Construction is metal but still manages to feel cheap somehow too. Already contacted Amazon to return and get a full refund.

Probably could have been a good unit except the outside housing was warped or made incorrectly. You could put a CD in, play it but not eject it. The players housing blocked all CD from being able to eject. Amazon made good and took it back and bought another very good one.

Drive is supposed to be WIN 10 compatible and Plug & Play install. Laptop does not recognize USB cable and drive will not work. Overrated and not worth the effort or money to get.

Stopped working after I uploaded about 50 discs.
