Overall happy with them!
The media could not be loaded. Cute, solid, good size, and vibrant. I also like the little wooden crates that the pieces come in. These seem pricy but when you actually compare closely to other options, it’s not bad for how many pieces and the quality you’re getting.A few downsides: some of the pieces are less detailed than others. For example, the orange is literally just an orange ball, vs the cheese which has some character. Also, there’s a few pieces with unfinished wood, including the bread. Raw wood is less play-friendly so I try to avoid it with the little one’s toys.Overall, a good purchase. The kiddo is enjoying them.

Great STEM toy
Melissa & Doug make great items for all ages of children, and so many of them are excellent STEM learning tools. These four little crates of assorted foods are well made, and my little grandson loves them.He is learning colors, shapes, placing different items in different crates, and names of foods. I can make it a game for him while he is learning.Love these wooden play food sets. I trust items from Melissa & Doug.Highly recommend.

Great for educational purpose
The best play food, the color is vivid and realistic my kids have too much fun with this food. We play a pretend supermarket every day. We practice the colors, names of the food, group of food is great for educational purpose.

Cute!
We got these to go along with the Fresh Mart store to add some filler to the shelves. The pieces are of nice, heavy wood and the storage boxes look adorable in the store as well! My daughter and goddaughter go crazy to play pretend with these toys! My only issue with the set would be the slices of sandwich bread are unfinished wood, very rough.

Overall really good. There are lots of healthy foods included, but there are a few chips on ours.
I have had this set for over a year and we're generally pretty happy with it. Here's a list of what we have discovered we like and don't like:Pros:-Healthy food groups: I gravitated toward this set because many others have things like French fries, pizza and deserts. I prefer my son play with healthy foods because I think it helps him get excited about eating them. It's hard to play with an ice cream cone and then have your mom serve you up broccoli.-Boxes: I like that the food comes in the cute little crates. We talk about the various food groups as we separate it. It also helps him clean up and organize.-Wood: I tend to buy wood toys over plastic because of the health risks of plastic (although I'm not sure about the paint on these). They also just look better and last longer.Cons:-Chipping: I have had a couple items chip. The hamburger bun arrived with a little paint missing, not enough to make me send it back, but it was definitely there. The paint does chip off if things are banged together or dropped.-Heavy: These are obviously heavier than plastic. If they are thrown it can hurt or damage floors/walls/furniture.Overall, I would buy these again. My son plays with them in his little kitchen daily along with the M & D sandwich making set.
