Hand and Table Microtome with Razor

Works good and the table mount is far more useful than I thought it would be!

There is nothing to secure your sample in place. I thought I could get around this by paraffin embedding the sample directly inside the microtome chamber, but nope, it still spins and moves up and down. Like A LOT.Kicking myself for the waste of time and money for this thing. I would return but shipping back to India would take most or all of my refund.Buy a hand microtome with some kind of mechanism to hold your sample firmly in place!

The product was well made but it is not able to secure specimin well enough to get a thin slice. It needs to have a clamp on the inside barrel that is used to hold the specimin. There are other less expensive, but much cheaper, quality hand held microtomes that have a specimin clamp that allows much thinner slices to be possible, but the tolerances are so bad that the specimin wobbles inside the barrel.
