Did the trick
Tried using bleach solution to deal with bad odor/taste in fresh water holding tank but it didn't work. This product worked like a charm. I was a little annoyed the description of product didn't mention needing citrus granules as part of the cleaning procedure- be sure to have that on hand. But, I'm happy the foul odor has been completely eradicated.

Quick and safe for my freshwater tank.
I first clean my tank with Thetford cleaner and then sanitize with this. I do it every Spring. I am confident I have good drinking water in my RV freshwater tank.

Very limited instructions on an unsealed bottle and no support from the company.
This product is marketed for treatment of fresh water holding tanks. The bottle arrived with a broken seal under the cap. There is no detectable odor. Did someone fill it with water and return it? There are no instructions other than what's on the label. The product description on Amazon says to use 1 ounce per 30 gallons but the label only says 3-1/4 ounces + 10 grams of citric acid crystals per per 10 gallons of fresh water. I sent an inquiry to the company but received no response. How long does the chlorine dioxide last? For long is it effective? Getting into our RV's fresh water holding tank means getting it past the 2 inline water filters. Should they be bypassed? I did, but that means I'm sending unfiltered water into the tank along with the Aqua Shock. The easiest way to get the Aqua Shock into a water intake hose is to use the RV Inline Sanitizer device (which is sold here and is designed for dispensing chlorine bleach). For a 125 gallon holding tank, that would require 39 ounces not including the dissolved crystals. You just can't pour that into a water house connected to the tank and that quantity will not fit inside the Sanitizer. The tank also has an anti-siphon valve and the pressure has to be high enough to open it. I did the 1 ounce per 30 gallons and put the 4 ounces required for our 125 gallon tank into the sanitizer connected between the faucet and the water hose and filled up the tank. It wasn't obvious that the Aqua Shock bottle that I received actually did anything.

Micro organisms will find there way in.
A must for RV owners. I really never thought about it, but micro organisms can and will get into your fresh water tank and it is advisable to protect yourself by treating your tank annual so that your weekend vacations are not affected by these little trouble makers. I had such an event and now use this regularly to protect me and my family.
