Worked great on tough projects!
Best $50 I have ever spent on Amazon. This inexpensive hammer drill worked great. Powerful and reliable. A+

Works fine for a budget hammer drill
There are many people who just need to drill a few holes in masonry - this drill is suitable. It drilled 1/2" holes 2" deep in concrete block in 30sec/hole using a new carbide Dewalt bit. (a non-hammer drill might take 30 min) No over heating, no problem with chuck grip. Would have taken half an hour with a non-hammer drill. Because I saw several reviews complaining about the chuck, I lubed it with teflon spray before starting. Cheap design requires one to use the torque of the drill motor to tighten the chuck - however, it worked fine, and it's price was indeed cheap. This drill did the job I needed perfectly for the price I needed. It's not a pro tool - they cost at least 3x as much.

Best drill
It has been some years since the purchase and the drill is sooo powerful, everyone says it has more power than other drills, can bore any concrete wall with ease

Powerful Enough to Drill Through Concrete
I bought this B & D hammer drill in order to drill holes in a poured concrete basement wall to attach furring strips using Tapcon screws. The concrete was tough but the drill was up to the task. It's relatively light weight, but powerful enough to get the job done. Considering the price, this drill is a very good value.

Awful
I bought this since I only needed to drill 10 holes in concrete. Unfortunately this crap didn't make it past three holes before it overheated and lost all torque. I let it cool down for 15 minutes thinking it was just a temperature issue. But the drill only started to produce smoke and no power. If you're just needing a hammer drill for a quick, one-time use, I recommend you spend the extra $5 and get the Harbor Freight Hammer Drill. Its not great, but unlike the Black and Decker, it got the job done without overheating quickly.

Fair drill for the money
This is a good drill, but the chuck does not hold when using it in the hammer drill mode. The chuck opens and lets the drill slip.
