Office Hippo Desk High Cupboard, Lockable Oak, 80 x 45 x 73 cm

I bought this size cupboard and the next smaller size. Both are robust and were easily put together by my handyman, a very experienced individual with a lifetime of practice of fixing, mending, replacing and sorting out all kinds of household problems. He found both cupboards easy to assemble but there was one problem common to both cupboards which he was unable to fix, despite trying several adjustments using the screws on the door hinges. The larger cupboard was less affected than the smaller one, but in both cases my handyman said that the door hinges should have been of a better quality than those provided. As a result, there are gaps which are a little too wide where the doors meet when the cupboards are closed, or where the doors are attached to the side panels of the cupboard. With better door hinges, those gaps might have been rather less. I can see that as a result there will be an element of dust always accumulating inside the cupboards where the gaps are. This is a pity, because the cupboards look very nice and really are sturdy; even though there is only veneer to cover the chipboard, the quality of the veneer (and the chipboard) is very good, permitting handling in the precise assembly of each cupboard without any damage. Despite the shortcoming, I do like the cupboards very much and have awarded 5 stars, but would have awarded 4.5 stars if that had been possible.

This is an an incredibly high quality, heavy duty and solid piece of flat pack furniture. Not like IKEA it is robust. I didn't get any notifications for when it was arriving, it was pretty much next day before 9am. The packaging was damaged and scruffy, consequently there were a few bits missing and a chipped shelf. The item went together well. Better with two people and if you are experienced at building these things. The customer service is first rate all the replacement parts, plus a lot more were left at the door the very next day before 9am. My advice to the supplier is tape up the seems of the boxes or get the manufacturer to improve their packaging. I would recommend this product.

The colour was paler than I thought and doesn’t match the rest of my furniture but it is a very strong ideal sized cupboard.

well made, straight forward to put together. Would give it 5 stars, but! Was delivered on this pallet, which the driver would not take away, sent message to company, they said I needed it in case I needed to return it? What faith in one’s own product! then you leave the customer to dispose of a large pallet. I will never use this supplier again.

Cupboard was easily enough to assemble. The only real problem I had was the sticky covers for mini fix cams were already stuck to the inside of the plastic bag they came in and therefore unusable so cams have been left uncovered

A good solid piece of furniture. Even though it is, it doesn't have that tell-tale look of self assembly. Highly recommended.
