Q: Are the 52961-000 the same as the 52962-000

I believe these are the same product. My originals, given to me with my aids, were marked with 52961. The ones offered for sale here were marked with 52962 and fit my aids just like the originals.

Q: What are these Starkey Hearing Aid Wax Guards for? I got 4 with the Starkey Hearing Aid I'm trying out. Instructions seem non-existent!!

One may screw the threaded end of the orange colored sticks into the white part of the ear piece and pull (Gently) that part out of the ear piece. For replacement if visual exam shows wax fouling which will, or has, diminished sound transfer. )ne then replace the plugged wax guard with a new one by placing it on the non threaded end of the orange stick. This answer is from a Starky Aid which has black rubber ends for the ear peice.Be gentle with this operation as the replacement part, complete, is a 100.00 dollar part.I have replaced many white guards it realy helps if the old ones were plugged. No they will not work with Phonak.
