Oddball Royale Men's Dress Socks XXL (Men's Size 14-18) (3-Pack)

First off, I do almost all of my shopping on amazon.com and leave very few reviews. Most items come as expected, based on feedback from other buyers.That said, I do feel the need to review the socks that Oddball is shipping because I don't believe the current reviews to be honest or accurate. I would assume that they shipped free socks to most of the folks in return for positive reviews so that others, like myself, will buy this expensive product.On to the pertinent portion of this review:The quality of the fabric is above average. I would consider them on par with nice department store socks.The size is definitely the best part. I wear a size 16 shoe and these are plenty big for me.Here is where the trouble really starts....COLORThere is a complete breakdown in quality control when it comes to describing the color of these socks. I am a white collar professional and wear 3 colors, black, charcoal and navy.The black is black and looks fine.The navy and charcoal are AWFUL....AWFULI could not be less pleased. The "navy" is much closer to a royal and is not work place appropriate. The "charcoal" is light grey with a bluish tint to it. It speaks volumes to me about the quality control of this company that they would ship such a misleading product to customers.To make matters worse, I get the pleasure of shipping the socks back on my dime. Are you serious?!Bottom line, even if the socks were the correct color, you are not getting fair value for what they are charging. Save your money and buy from more established brands that charge half the price. These are not worth it and ended up being a huge hassle for me to take these to shipping store and pay for return shipping.

I'm buying more of these socks, lots more. Big feet are difficult to find shoes and socks. I wear a size 14 or 15 wide shoe, and in the past squeezed into socks advertised as size 13-15, but none come close to these socks. Oddball size 14-18 is great if you have large feet. If you can't find the right style on Amazon, check the manufacturer web site (oddball.com).These socks pull up the calf toward the knee, unlike most other socks I've tried in the past. Thin, light, and go great with dress shoes when wearing slacks. No fear of sitting down and showing ankles, as with little man socks of the past!Three pairs of socks included. I'm buying more now. Winner!

In looking for a Christmas gift for my son, he mentioned he wished he could find socks that were long enough for his size 14 shoe foot. I researched and even phoned the distributor and he assured me that they would fit. I was reluctant to buy all three colors so I only purchased Navy and sent them to my son to try and wash and dry for three months and then report back to me how the socks performed. He loved them. So I purchased the last 2 colors and gave them to my son for Christmas. He is hard fit with socks when so many say the socks are big and tall but end up shrinking. My son is very pleased with these socks.

Had been very pleased with these socks until they did something that's never happened in a looong lifetime. The sock ripped at the seam between the cuff and the body. Didn't even realize there was a seam at this location 'cause it's never happened with any other brand.

I would say these are about 4.5 Stars. I would like a little bigger of a sock and a little thicker, but otherwise these are some of the most comfortable socks I have found for dress socks. I have big feet (buy size 15-16 and wide shoes) and so it is hard to find larger socks that are also comfortable. The price is a little steep as well, but it isn't the worst. I try all kinds of socks for various things, so giving a decent review for a sock is big for me. Most socks are thin or tight for my feet and then not comfortable either. As someone who has struggled to find socks that fit for many years I have to say I would never buy anything else. I wear a size 13 extra wide and if anything these socks are a little big. I have never had bamboo socks before and these are possibly the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. I do only wash them in cold water and hang them to dry but they fit and feel the same after many uses as they did brand new. Still too new to say if they will wear out quickly but I would still buy them even if they do. They are worth the money in my opinion.

I don't know how bamboo is made into socks, but these are pretty cottony, not woolly or nylon-y. I wear a 15, and first wearing was large, but after a couple of washes they fit nicely. I started with 6 pairs and now have 15 assorted pairs, and threw away all my gold toes. If you are tired of the 13-15 available in XL stores, try these $10 socks.

Bamboo-rayon material feels very soft and wears well. Very few socks I can buy fit this well....most are too small. These hose-type socks also go up almost to my calves and look great for dress or casual. The navy blue socks are my favorite and look very classy. They hold up well to repeated washing, but recommend avoiding hot dryers.
