Healing with the Angels: How the Angels Can Assist You in Every Area of Your Life

This is a great book. I read it probably a year ago and flip back to it often, especially lately, in the "Numbering Sequences from the Angels" section. I also just bought 2 of these books to give as gifts, one to a friend who is a caregiver for the sick and dying, and one for a lady who just lost her husband of many many years.The author is a clairvoyant psychotherapist, who works with the angelic realm to help others. She has numerous books out there, and makes numerous appearances on television and conducting seminars.This book discusses how you can ask the angels to be of assistance to you, things that are going on as the world shifts today, walking a more spiritual path, how angels can assist you in your love life and with your family, basic chakra information, your life purpose and path, nature and animal angels, healing from grief, safety, protection, manifesting, incarnate angels, the indigo children, and many many other bits of basic information. Doreen also includes pieces of conversations with people she has counseled and angelic responses to those people regarding their issues. She also provides suggestions of how you might ask for help.The numbering sequence section provides information about how angels may communicate by showing you certain numbering sequences. So, if you often see numbers like 11:11 on a clock, or often wake up at 2:22, 3:33, or 4:44 a.m., you can find some ideas to think about in this section. There are also explanations on number combinations such as 4s and 5s, like 445 or 455. (and they do NOT mean go play that number.)This book provides a good collection of base information. Obviously, whether you believe or not is up to you, but if you WANT TO believe that there is more to life than you see with your eyes, this book might be a good place to start. (One of my teachers once told me "Be careful of your eyes. They can deceive you." I often think of his message. It is true. Incorporate ALL of your senses into what you "see"--see with MORE than your physical eyes.) (I am off to attend one of Doreen Virtue's classes in Manhattan in May 2007. Can't wait to sit with the Angel Lady for the day and hear what she has to say.)Again, this book also makes a great inexpensive gift you can give someone who is interested in angels.

I didn't have any expectations when I purchased this book other than to learn from Doreen Virtue and her methods on how to heal with the angels. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised with what I read and the range of topics she covers. She goes over affirmations and different scenarios that one could use in order to work with your angels, providing various examples from her clients and her own experiences as evidence for such claims of healing. Towards the end of the book she goes over crystals, earth angels and the basics of numerology which I found was a pleasant surprise when reading it. The only thing I did not like, which this will depend on the reader, is her emphasis on 'God'. I do not know if she was using the word 'God' as a general term or if she was literally stating the Christian 'God' but I found the tone to be of the latter. In her other works, she claims the angels do not come from one religion but in this work the tone seems to stem from the fact they are of Christian origin. Do not get me wrong, I am religiously tolerant but I am not a Christian. Despite this little tiff of mine, the book was well written and beautifully published even though it is an older print. I definitely will use some of her techniques, especially the ones she states for those grieving, relationships and even emotional issues.

I am so glad that I finally got around to reading this book. My life has been very busy so I’ve picked it up and put it down. There is so much truth that radiates from this book. It is a gift. There are many wonderful, helpful, useful prayers in this book. For the Angels to help us, we have to ask. We have to give them permission. I will be buying more of her books. I felt like I was vibrating at a higher frequency as I read the book and utilized the prayers. I would recommend it to a friend.

I am writing this review for both "Healing with the Angels" and "Devine Guidance'.I really like these books because they opened up a new world that wasn't available to me before.I've been a borne again Christian for quite some time and I am rather well versed in Bible scripture and I was a member of a non-denominational church. I am very grateful for my church experience because I learned a lot about God and about myself. Unfortunately I came to a point where I was not growing spiritually and none of my prayers were being answered. Maybe you think it was just me and I gave up on God but I prayed so much that it felt like I was so heavenly great that I was no earthly good.If you are like me than you think that the Doreen Virtue is a forbidden area for Christians.After all Dr Virtue calls Jesus Christ an ascended master and not the Son of God. In fact it took over a year for me before I got the courage to come out of my Christian box but out of desperation I had to try something new.These books have opened up a new world to me and it helps me to understand how God communicates to me. It is strange how a pastor will claim to hear the voice of God (clairaudience) yet this is the same church that tells you not to trust your heart because the bible says the heart is eternally corruptible. I am now convinced that most churches are very politically motivated and they prefer to have stupid sheep who can't think for themselves. I now worry very little about doctrine instead I worry about what feels right to my heart. I still consider myself Christian and I accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior but I don't worry if he is an ascended master or the Son of God.My one complaint about these books is that it is rather sensationalistic. What I mean is that she shares case histories of people asking angles for help and within an instant their requests were answered. I think in the case of most people like me, the angelic help is always subtitle. In her book, the prayer for a soul mate was answered in a heart beat. However for me the search for a perfect mate takes time, effort, and patience. However because of Dr Virtue I now know what is good for me and now I know what to look for in a mate and I am setting my prayers accordingly.In "Healing with the Angels", Chapter 11 talks about Incarnated Angels. I was praying for God to send me Incarnated Angels. There is nothing miraculous here but after 4 years I decided to get hold of an old friend. I then realize that she met Dr Virtue's definition of an incarnated angel. There is nothing romantic between us but now I know that I want to marry an incarnated angel.I haven't seen anything miraculous yet. The most important thing is now I have hope which I didn't have before. I learned the hard way that hope is what sustains all humans. With out hope we are spiritually dead. So I credit Dr Virtue of giving me hope and setting me on a path of healing. Most importantly I learned that it is OK to trust your intuition.
