Make sure you assemble it with the lowest level of magnification (don't use the 3x extension) and remove the protective covers. ...look through the eyepiece with your eye (not your phone) until you get the hang of it. And finally, try it out with a friend... Two heads are truly better than one! ...oh, and you might need to remove your glasses in order to see properly (contact lenses won't cause issues unless they are bi-focal).
