Hama Beads 10,000 Beads and 5 Pegboards Tub

Ethically I am torn. Mass produced small pieces of plastic can't be good for the environment, but my children sat for hours creating stuff without hitting each other and arguing so these little environmentally unfriendly pieces of plastic saved my sanity!

I’m trying out different fusing beads to see which are the best in my humble opinion. This set came quickly I recieved 5 pegboards as stated on the container. Everything is perfect a wide variety of colours and the boards are of a good quality plastic. I’m a grown adult who’s recently discovered fuse beads I find it very relaxing and totally satisfying once you’ve made your creation. This is an excellent set great value for money. The pegboards I recieved were a mouse, seahorse, flowerpot, butterfly, and a little car. The booklet comes with a small sheet of ironing paper so you can start creating immediately. Brilliant for young and old alike :)

Hours of fun for one of my 5 year old boys. His twin brother isn't bothered about them at all but really hits the spot for kids who love craft and making things.This was our first Hama bead purchase and within days I have already purchased separate packs of the colours we are using the most. There are about 3 shades of brown, plus dark khaki etc which will probably never get used... unless I buy animal shaped boards... I have wondered whether it would have been better to just buy sets of indiviudal colours but overall I think this set represents good value for money with the boards and gives a good range of colours as a starter set.The 5 boards included in the pack are great for little ones although the flower and butterfly are reasonably large and take a while for them to complete.

The box is much smaller than I expected but it is packed with thousands of Hama Beads. It says 10,000 on the box... I can only assume this is correct.. there is certainly a large amount. Also comes with 5 of the pin boards to create numerous shapes. My kids love Hama Beads. Certainly good value for money.

Original Hama Beads, easy to use - put the beads on the board, make a nice pattern, iron with baking paper over the top and that's it - done!I would prefer the boards not to be in the actual tub - to take them out I highly recommend placing the tub in a large mixing bowl then pull the boards out, the beads that will inevitably escape as you do so, will be kept in the bowl and not all over the table and floor (trust me, these little suckers get every where!!).
