I used it to replace an underfloor heating thermostat and it works well. **Q: Why is it that this only works with certain heating systems, it’s basically just a switch thanks** A: This thermostat is dual sensor . I.e it has both an air sensor and a connected floor sensor. You need this sensor to monitor underfloor heating systems but if not fitted I guess you could use with other boiler based or electric systems. All I’ll say is that the two I bought specific to electric underfloor heating work really well via the app or via google home really simple. Only flaw I could find was the shape which is a bit difficult to match to a suitable back box. Otherwise great value thus far **Q: Hello, can someone provide an instruction manual for this unit. Thanks** A: Sorry - I sent mine back, it was utterly useless. **Q: How to install** A: This product comes with a full set of installation instructions. Easy fitting *by H***Y on 24 December 2018* This wifi thermostat was easy to fit which i was really happy with. a few wires in the back and it was on. The app worked very well and i did indeed get it connected with amazon alexa. 'Alexa turn up the heating to 22 degrees' and theres no running upstairs to adjust the thermostat any more.I like the design, the screen dims when not in use and can be turned off. when in use the bright LCD screen is easy to see. The touch buttons are very responsive and better than my old heatmiser system.Overall im really impressed with the quality and functions on this item for the money. This is working with my combi boiler no problems at all. ### ⭐ Can't turn screen off and makes humming noise *by J***D on 4 February 2019* I have has several different iterations of these thermostats and was firstly surprised that this doesn't work with the same App as previous versions, which is a shame as I now have two separate Apps for each thermostat in the house. I went for a different model as I wanted one where the screen could be put into sleep mode as it is in the bedroom, close to the bed and I didn't want the constant blue light. Unfortunately when in the standby/reduced screen brightness mode, set to the minimum, not only is it still too bright, but it also makes a humming noise in that mode. So defeated the purpose of getting it. I would remove, return and swap for the same as I have downstairs, but the mounting bracket is designed in such a way that you can only get to it before the thermostat is mounted. The only way to get to it now is to rip it off the wall, do damage to the wall and probably the unit.
