Works great at getting my antenna in a tree
I use this to throw rope up in trees to get wire antennas up off the ground. It works great to get the rope up and over the tree limbs. So far I'm very happy with it's quality and weight

This Throw weight makes the difference
I bought a rope saw kit and needed a good throwing weight to replace the really bad throwing weight that was included with the kit. Accuracy improved 100%. I recommend this product.

Reached way more branches than expected.
I needed to clear some high Norway maple branches that were seriously shading valued trees. I'm 68, and I was able to throw it over high branches. (I did this underhanded for the high ones, using a ladder which I'm sure some would not recommend for obvious reasons.) I attached a stronger nylon rope to the end so I could really yank at the branch enough to snap it off quite close to the trunk. Because Norway maples are invasive weeds I don't mind if there's not a clean cut. One of their few attributes is that the branches snap easily. This sturdy tool really allowed me to open up a huge amount of light without hiring an arborist to take down the tree. I know I'll find other predicaments this will come in very handy for.

Great for Ham Radio Antenna Work
I purchased this to assist in putting up ham radio dipoles. Here's some things to know.1. It appears well constructed. I bashed it on trees, had it hit the ground and generally threw it around while putting up antennas and it has held up well to the abuse.2. It CAN get stuck in trees. While the design is good, if you have to back it up and pull it back over a branch it might get stuck. Not an issue with the design, more a fact of life given how trees are constructed. A heavier weight may be more likely to pull your line over the branch better but a heavier weight might be harder to use.3. It doesn't seem real heavy but trying to accurately throw it overhand over a tree branch 40 feet up is a real challenge. I'm glad I didn't go with a heavier bag. I ended up using an underhand swinging/sling technique to fling it up and was able to get it quite high. Conclusion: If you're looking for a good weighted bag for helping to put wire antennas up in trees this is a very useful and economical tool.

Very happy with this product. Took me a good 10 swings to get the branch I wanted but the bag handled impact good and I found the weight of the bag to be perfect

Works for me !!!
Well built. Stiches are strong. Perfect weight. They are quite robust as it takes about 10 times to get it where you want to go for very high branches and they crash down to the ground each time. It has helped me dozens of times for two things : to get a string in place to pull in a strong rope for pulling on the tree while cutting to add a layer of safety AND for getting a hand chainsaw in place to cut high branches.

Works fine
This throw works as it should but it is a nylon material, not leather as in the name.

Great addition to your camping gear.
This is a great arborists tool, but also very useful for hanging ropes for food barrels, when camping. I purchased it for the latter and it saves so much time!
