Sonnics 500GB White External Portable Hard drive USB 3.0 Compatible with Windows PC, Mac, Smart tv, XBOX ONE & PS4

I needed a storage device for photos and documents I have accumulated over the years, and after some consideration I decided to opt for this external hard drive. Firstly I am not a computer buff and to be honest not the most technically gifted person, so I wanted something simple to set up to transfer a number of files, folders mainly container years worth of pictures. I opted for the sonics brand with 1TB capacity, it says its ultra slim and portable and it certainly is, weighing only some 150g and fits in my hand easily also my trouser pocket! Now as mentioned I only wanted this as a back-up so I wouldn't lose many old photos and files and I must say that downloading them on the the hard drive was simple and very fast, it took no time to do and every time I have wanted to get a file I just plug in and within seconds I can locate the file or pic I am looking for. It comes with a USB 3.0 lead and is as simple as plug in and play. For my needs and convenience, portable I am giving it a full 5 stars, the 1TB comes in just under £40 at the time of writing and seems very good value.

With two laptops eating up my precious files while taking a dirt nap in the past, even a thickie like me got the message about backing up the data. I can use a computer but not one of the smart arses who can make the machine do whatever I want, I took the plunge for a plug-in drive. A SIMPLE plug in drive that didn't need all sorts of awkward prepping and formatting that makes you pray for a swift death. This was the kit. Small, neat, ready in seconds and duplicating everything from my laptop while I watched the latest click-bait youtube crap on my feed about Dungeons and Dragons - I remember when it was just AD&D that cost just a few quid and you could buy a metal figure for 60p.Anyway, the drive did the business. I was so impressed I bought another for my sticky-fingered 15 year old son, who's so careless he could break a log into splinters when your back's turned. It survived even him! Can't recommend the hard drive enough for anyone interested, as much as I try impressing my son to wash more often.

I’ve bought sonnic again because my old ones died which i think it’s 4 years old as it’s always recording many films or any music etc, I’ve enjoyed it very much so Ive bought another sonnic but a bigger space! Which I’m always filming even though i have some on my dvd recording disc unless there’s nothing on? Then you dvd for some i don’t mind watching again which TVs repeat for many years like 007 updates version now son is are now rubbish & doesn’t like my Panasonic tv! Except my new LG tv are working fine! I don’t know why but it is what it is then I’ve bought a Toshiba hard drive & they worked! Yippee may certain models can be compatible to my Panasonic so you know if have that particular model then you know what to buy! Good luck with that! For now Toshiba is the one for me!

This hard drive is perfect for a LG TV,its as it states plug and play it's really easy. I am using one on my LG SMART TV no problem's

The product was working fine for about a day, as soon as I started to put more files onto the device it started to freeze & not respond. I've tried it on multiple different PC's, including laptops & having the same impact. Would not recommend. Lucky enough I had my files saved as backup but if I didn't this would have been detrimental. Not impressed.

I'm not into tech stuff, however this hard drive was easy to set up and use. Very pleased as I was able to transfer photos and files from one laptop to another. Small and compact. Not too pricey either.

I was very pleased with this 1TB external hard drive. It is super easy to use. It is very small & thus convenient to store. It wasn't very expensive & I have already used it to backup some of my important data. This has given me peace of mind. Also transferring the data was quick by any standards.

Really good quality easy to use and really quick to connect and transfer images and files. Nice size and not heavy at all. Highly recommend this hard disc!
