Q: what is life expectency of ultrasonic pest repeller?

Good question! I normally replace mine every 6 months to a year, but I bought the last set April 2020 and they still seem to be working unless the blinking red light is just electricity fooling me? I also use the TomCat sticky boards and I catch spiders, crickets and even a lizard a few years ago in those..YikeSSSS! I put them behind the couch, beds and bathrooms behind the toilets. I really don't get many critters maybe one little spider or a few gnats every 4 months. Hope this helps from California.

I bought a package of six and placed in areas where food is prepared and or eaten. The size of the room may matter so I placed one above each kitchen counter, one in the dining room, one in the pantry and two in my 28 ft long living room. I have seen no evidence at all of pests since they were put in service

Birds don't hear in ultrasound (high frequency) so it won't bother them. That also means it won't repel pigeons, black birds, but should annoy rodents, some insects, bats, and whales.
