Seemed bigger than I expected, but bulges a bit when I put in my 5D MK iii, which has a plate at the bottom. A bigger tripod plate would make this not be able to zip closed. With the camera, a 24-70 lens, and a tripod, this bag is too heavy to carry over one shoulder, and sits awkwardly at an angle with the tripod. I would love a bag of this size with TWO backpack straps. The waist strap does pretty much nothing, it is too difficult to tighten and take off/put on while wearing the bag.I actually took the waist strap and clipped it to the top of the bag to create a second shoulder strap. This distributes the weight much better when I have a tripod on.Otherwise, the padding is great and my camera feels safe in the bag. If you have a smaller camera the size is probably perfect for you.

Amazing, holds camera and lenses plus extra pockets for filters and memory cards YET it isn't a huge backpack that is cumbersome when walking. I love my choice.
