I've been wearing wool socks for years and I love these. They seem like good value at the price although I can't comment on how hard wearing they are just yet.

I had high hopes for these socks due to there great feedback. First their strengths, they definitely wick sweat away quickly and they are comfortable apart from the seams occasionally rubbing. Now the reason I didn't keep them was because firstly my feet sweat more in these than my cotton socks and the most important point after one wear they didn't smell great. I washed them a couple of times and tried but after one day of wear they usually didn't smell great. For context I have a pair of Smartwool socks I wore to a drum and bass rave dancing all night, 3 sweaty gym session and after 4 days of continuous wear they only just started to smell, now that's odour repellent IMHO. To be fair to these socks they were half the price of Smartwool. You get what you pay for.

I'm very fussy about my socks. I tried bamboo but didn't notice much improvement over cotton and then I discovered these thin merino business socks and I have never looked back. I use them for sports as well as daily wear, even though conventional wisdom suggests you *need* thick socks for sports - all I can say is try these and see what you think.Watch out for other brands claiming to be "merino wool socks" because many of them are in fact only 35% wool mixed with other materials. These Vitsocks are 80% merino wool which at £6 a pair is the best value on the market.The only drawback to wool is that it wears out more quickly than other materials, so I end up spending about £50 per year on socks, but it's a price I am happy to pay for the best comfort and performance available.

I bought these socks as I had already bought black 80% Merino wool socks from the seller and wanted some more so thought the coloured ones would be nice. These are totally different and don't feel like wool socks. They did feel soft and probably more durable however so I decided to keep them. When I tried them on they were way too large even though I have size 11 feet.I am returning them for this reason and because I don't believe they are 80% Merino wool.
