Nesting do Unpainted Blank Nesting Doll 5pc./6"

I ordered the five piece version. First problem is the dolls smelled and were moldy which is alarming to me because i intended to give them as a gift. Second, most of the dolls didn't close all the way/open easily or close at all. In other words there was a mix of too tight, too loose and just right. expect to be sanding for quite a while or for the dolls that are too loose, buy extras. final issue, the seller sent me the six piece when i'd only ordered the five. generous on their part however, it's quite obvious which size is the largest and which is the smallest. now i must paint six instead of five by christmas. more work than i signed up for unfortunately. giving three stars though because of the reasonable price and once sanded, treated for the mold and painted, they came out beautiful. if you're willing to forgive the roughness of these things and put in the work, it might be worth it. side note, don't use spray paint to pretreat these.

Great for the price. The wood is decently smooth and took acrylic paint well. Two complaints would be that the largest doll is far, far larger than the second-largest doll, and that on a couple of them, the wood grain doesn't quite match up. These details are trivial, however, when painted.

I ordered several of these to make as Christmas gifts. They all need sanding and filling because of cracks and do not fit together. Also, I ordered the 4 piece version yet received 6 piece version making it a huge task that I cannot complete by Christmas. I'll be making them for birthdays instead. Ugh.

Several pieces of my wooden nesting dolls had splits in the wood and 2 were completely split thru. They looked like they got damp because of the mold that was on two packs of the wooden dolls but I don't know how that could be, because they were really well wrapped. I got a carpenter friend to patch the split dolls for me!

Smoothly sanded and great for crafts. The joints were extremely tight, so I sanded them quite a bit so that they would work once painted. However, I've heard that the joints loosen over time if opened a lot, so that might not be necessary if you think someone will open them often.

I purchased two sets one set was perfect, just a little sanding needed. The second set needed some filling, sanding and what disappointed me the most was that the second largest doll did not fit together properly, the bottom seemed too small for the top so that it doesn't hold together.

Just what I was looking for. However, I had to spend a lot of time sanding the connection joints so that the dolls can pop easily apart. It was difficult to pull them apart the first time and the sanding took a lot of time.

Not the highest quality, loose fit ; did on have a marking to show where the dolls lined up. The joint felt like the top and the bottom were from different dolls i.e. not smooth and could not find a location where there wasn't a gap between top and bottom. Was not stamped on bottom or a tag that said made in Russia.
