Barrel is light weight and easy to pickup, move. Very durable - perfect for storage - cut some vent holes in the sides and it makes a great burn barrel.

I drilled holes up the sides with a hole saw to allow some air flow and then used it as a burn barrel. I suppose you could use it as a regular barrel but thats boring. Once done destroying the evidence, I put the lid on top to stop pesky sparks from lighting the neighborhood on fire.

We use the barrel for burning boxes and garbage. Works great and is very sturdy.

The drum makes a good dust collector for your shop vac, but an adjustable pressure relief valve does need to be added as a shop vac will still deform the drum lid with its suction force if you don't use one.

This is bananas to me. Where I live, we can buy once used metal 55 gal barrels with the metal lids and bands for $15ea all day long. Used one time, look brand new, no dents, shiny paint, $15.
