Great kettle
Solid construction and attractive. Water heats to a boil fairly quickly, and the thermometer is very accurate across its full range, as compared to a digital instant-read that I used. No complaints yet. My kettle makes an ethereal sound from the start of heating until full boil. Maybe that is why it is called "Soulhand." Also, it is difficult to empty the last of the water to allow it to dry. A towel is needed for this task.

Awesome Pither, Thermometer went out though
The Pitcher is amazing, Its very well insulated and keeps temp as you go through your pour over better than any pitcher ive used. The Ability to throw it on an induction cooktop to heat it up after the water comes out of the tower is huge. Unfortunately the thermometer wasn't built well and it went out on me after about 2 months of Incredibly heavy daily use. It's not a standard thermometer, but one built for this unit. Ill still be buying another one, because its very effective when it works.

Beautiful gooseneck kettle. If your budget is < $40, then look no further. This is perfect for $30!
Not sure why people are complaining about this kettle. What these reviewers fail to realize is that you should have this thing filled with water to the max every time you boil water; otherwise, if there is not enough water in the kettle, you will risk damaging it because HIGH HEAT WILL DAMAGE THE THERMOMETER AND THE KETTLE. Water helps to moderate temperature within the kettle and keeps the kettle from exceeding temperatures of 212 F. If there is little-to-no water in the kettle, the heat will absolutely destroy the thermometer and severely damage the kettle. Not sure who needs to read this, but it takes a bit of common sense and basic knowledge of fire to use this kettle. The only complaint I have is not about the kettle, but the time it takes for water to boil. I may have to consider getting an electric gooseneck kettle for the sake of convenience, but besides that, this kettle is absolutely great for its price. Great value for the money. If you are looking for a kettle for less than $35, then look no further. You have found the perfect stovetop gooseneck kettle. Comes neatly packaged in a nicely branded box with some branded literature and brochure.

In the end, this has proven to be a good little kettle
First off, I had intended to return this and went so far as to receive authorization for that because of how much black residue I was able to wipe off from the inside of this kettle. I mean, it's made in China, so who knows what they use on it or how they make it; it's not like they are the most trustworthy, transparent, and health-conscious manufacturers around. However, the kettle I ordered to replace it got lost in shipment, and out of frustration, I kept boiling water and wiping at this kettle with paper towels until it was thoroughly rid of the residue, and then I began using it for my coffee pour overs. I canceled the order for the other kettle and kept this one, and I am really pleased with its performance once I got the oily film out of it. It heats up quickly, the gauge is really useful, the handle doesn't get hot, it pours a solid stream acceptable fast for a Chemex and a V60, and it hasn't rusted at all (although I should mention that I dry it with a paper towel after each use). This is a Chinese copy of a Japanese Hario kettle, and if that kind of thing offends you, then go with your conscience, but if price is more important, this inexpensive kettle is fantastic for pour over and Aeropress coffee. It heats up slowly at first, but then it really takes off, and you can hear start to sort of rattle. It heats up reasonably fast overall. The opening at the top is a little narrow, so I have a tiny bit of difficulty getting my medium-sized adult male hand into and out of the kettle with a paper towel, so that might be something to consider, as you will absolutely want to keep boiling water in it and wiping it HARD with a paper towel until the towel comes out clean before using it. It comes out of the box looking shiny, but don't be deceived; there is some sort of chemical coating on the inside of it, and who knows what that grime is made of...

Remember, can’t fill to 40oz just like any other teapot, has to be below max capacity.
Only have used it three times in a few days. I’ve inspected it before use as instructed and it came with a perfect finish, no dings, all in working order. It came very fast as well! It boils water very fast and works just as a gooseneck should, quite stylish, and I live the thermometer. I’d like to let people know that when you receive this product, it says you should fill it to a reasonable capacity, so while it holds 40oz, it instructs 28oz as reasonable. So it is on you if you fill it up higher and something happens but I don’t have a personal worry for filling it maybe even as high as 35oz but that is my PERSONAL OPINION. As of now it is a 5 star as well as the seller, but if things take a turn I will most certainly update my review.

Good coffee kettle
I've only used this a few times but I really like it so far. I like that it's not a huge kettle and the pouring spout is great. I'm making coffee for one person so the size is great and if I want more I can quickly heat up another pot and have a fresh cup. I have an electric stove and the bottom is the exact size of my small burner which I think is great as well as the handle has never gotten hot from being partially over a burner. And it's a cool feature. I use it for pour over coffee and for tea. Being able to have the right temperature for the water is a wonderful feature and is actually what led me to buy this.

Cute & Heats Quickly
Was looking for a gooseneck kettle but many didn’t have great reviews and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I am very happy with the beehive design, and function of this little kettle. It’s smaller than I expected so it’s best for one person or to use as a pour over for a coffee press. The best thing about it is how quickly it heats up the water. As someone who likes hot lemon water first thing in the morning, this works awesome.

Nice kettle… for awhile.
It’s a very nice kettle at first, but eventually the coating turns to a bit of a hassle and you’ll find streaks of it on your dish rags and such. The pour quality also can range from a lovely unbroken stream to a gurgley mess depending on how hot the bottom plate is. If it’s still boiling in the kettle it’ll come out in spurts. Also if you let it boil on an induction stove as you would a normal kettle it can start spraying out the spout because the steam can’t escape fast enough from the vents on the lid. I’m not taking any points off for the last two bits just giving those as tips for users. The coating problem though is a real bother, and it’s stained the inside of one of my bags from when I took it with me to make coffee for family. I wish it was just a brushed metal finish instead of the black paint, and I might just take some sand paper to it and return it to service. Good gift for occasional use or for someone with a gas stove where it won’t get very hot. If you’re getting it for you though maybe consider an alternative option.
