BEWARE: The booklet on offer are just the answers in black and grey, not any training book. It is without any explanations, just a cheap version of ABRSM answers as far as I can tell. Disappointing as I was basing my purchase decision on Daisy's colourful photos.

I came upon this book by chance, having previously always bought the ABRSM Music Theory in Practice series for my pupils. One of my parents got this by mistake - and what a brilliant mistake! At first I thought it could not possibly cover Grade 1 because it all looks so easy - but it does! Everything you need for the exam is laid out clearly with exercises which look attractive.The book is very simply explained and the activities are much more gradual than Music Theory in Practice, broken into much more bite-sized pieces. The book has lots of bright colours and appears much less daunting for children.The book would probably have too young a feel for teens and adults, but for all my primary (and probably lower secondary) aged children, I will be using this series from now on. I have just bought the Grade 2 for another pupil and it looks just as good. Highly recommended.

An excellent book with all the answers for music theory books in grades 1-5. Compact.

A great little book, and very helpful alongside the grade 1 to 5 question books. There are a couple of errors in there, minor ones in grade 4 and 5, thus not 5 stars.

Needed this for the exercise books.. Great!!

Good for daughters piano lessons

This book is very good. It explains everything very clearly. It makes learning music theory fun. I would highly recommend.

Ordered this book for my 5 year old as he is doing so well with his piano, it is fun to do and I can help him with it easily. Showed it to his piano teacher and he has bought the grade 1 and 2 books.
