Lick!

My daughter was given a few books at her 12 month child care appointment, and since she showed immense interest in those, keeping an eye on the future we invested in a library that could last for a few years and still remain relevant.My favourite feature of all Mathew Van Fleet books is there construction and ability to withstand toddlers hands.Excellent book, has 4 push in/pull out flaps within 14 pages depicting different sounds when an animal/reptile/bird licks food. 2-3 images per page, big enough to engage a child immediately. My daughter now 15 loves to enact different licking styles and make sounds, at least she tries too. This has helped us easily transition her into lift the flap books and some small story books.Unlike the other popular Mathew Van Fleet books (Heads, Alphabets etc) This along with Munch and Sniff are small in size and can be held side to side when open by toddler easily.

Our Grandson loves Matthew Van Fleet books. It is quite robust for enquiring fingers! Visually appealing for little ones who are not reading yet.

very interactive for my daughter but she did end up pulling the head of the bear off quite soon after getting the book.
