This is a good piece of kit. Recognised most of my freestyle handwriting but struggled when writing in capitals. The app is good and is impressive the way it can convert handwriting to keyboard text. Light and easy to use wherever you would need it. Could do with an extra pen as an added bonus. Still very happy with this purchase.

Product good quality but not that easy to use. Need to do a lot of editing after initial writing notes.

I had a little play when I first got it and love the fact that the handwriting turns to text, via an app you have to download. But it will do the trick for writing my stories and that's what I wanted it for.

Yes, Garry. Am with you on this one. I needed a device to use for online teaching where I could write this in real time but convert to text and store for later distribution to students. Although being a good looking piece of kit it is extremely cumbersome, being way heavier than a tablet. The case is good and protective and on first glance you really think you have hit gold. My main issue with this was the erratic software that you have to use. Will it, won't it? I need a device that I KNOW is going to fire up and work there and then, and do what it says on the tin. There is also a matter of responsiveness with the pen. You don't always get what you expect coming up on screen but I suspect this is another glitch in the software department. When they iron out this factor perhaps they will have a device worth having. Might I add here that I went on to buy the Mark 2 - please read my feedback there too.

This RoWriter has such a premium feel to it. holding at hand seems and looks like extra fine and exclusively made. it is easy to use. synchronization between App and the writer is very smooth and instant. as fast as real pen and paper.I also use Ipad Pro 12.9" 2018/19 and I was surprised to find Rowriter is faster and smoother then ipad.excellent video play back. just he write speed.i enjoyed the unboxing itself. i was also surprised to find Rowriter was more premium packaging then Iphone 11 or even Galaxy fold. i have both and unboxed them myself also.i definitely recommend Rowriter, it will be an investment of lifetime but pice within most of our budget.even if they charged £300 then i would say yes price is fine. but it was £90.excellent excellent excellent..................

Totally disappointed as I actually couldn’t even switch this product on as the plug, along with pen and writing pads were missing! The one writing pad in the box had been written on… totally fed up as so looking forward to using it. One positive was the aftercare service from Amazon. The call handler was excellent, calm and professional. Granted full refund.

Fantastic product. Initial few nervous moments waiting to get it set up before discovering battery was needed in pen to get it go. Couldn't believe it worked so easily straight away. Text recognition worked perfectly. Video feature is great, it only capture moment pen touches paper so no boring pauses. My 5 year old was fascinated and now won't give it back. So pleased with this. Reviewed other products that looked similar and was out off with comments such as software crashes and text recognition not perfect etc this has no problems to report so far and is very impressive. 8hr battery life may be only drag so requires planning to not get caught short at work, imagine this will have heavy use throughout busy day.

I had to send this product back purely because it would not work for me due to my poor handwriting.I wanted to turn written text into digital text to make it easier to transfer my meeting notes / study notes. However, my handwriting was just too poor and it didn't transfer to digital text well enough for me.All in all the concept is great and for someone with good handwriting this is a great gadget.
