Timeless Frames Metal Photo Frame, 8 by 12-Inch, Silver

This is a defective product, as many other reviewers, especially recent ones, have said. Same thing that happened to these other reviewers happened to me: the frame was hanging on my wall for a little while, seemingly doing its job perfectly, when one of the clips that holds the wire breaks (see attached picture), the frame falls, and the glass shatters. It's unfortunate, because it is indeed a very nice looking frame. Amazon should stop selling this product until the manufacturer fixes this problem. In addition to the mess that the shattered glass makes, the frame is heavy, and it can injure somebody when it falls.

Terrible - perfect example of you get what you pay for. The frame fell off the wall after less than a month. The adjustable metal clip that holds the hanging wire broke. Unfortunately I bought eight of these - I will be taking them down rather than wait for the next one to fall...

Metal frame with real glass. Looks nice and sturdy for its price. It came properly wrapped arriving in perfect condition. Some people seem to be struggling with the clips on the back used to secure the print, so I've attached a video made by my wife showing how to get them off and on in just two easy and quick steps. Will not give it a 5 because the clips slightly damage the edges of the print/photo. So, if you need your print to later come off the frame in perfect condition, take this into account.

I don't know why I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews for this frame, I should have. Just as others have described, the frame is attractive but defective. It was fine for a few months but then in the middle of the night one of the clips that holds the hanging wire broke and the frame came crashing down, breaking the glass into several pieces. Luckily, no one was hurt, other than being alarmed by the crash at 3:30 in the morning, but it could have easily been a different story. According to previous reviews this is a recurring problem. This frame should be taken off the market. Do not buy!

I ordered 2 of these to frame two matching pieces of art. Unfortunately one frame arrived noticeably scratched. A deep scratch on the bottom to the point the gold was removed and you could see the silver/metal exposed, and a ton of minor scuffs all along the edges of the frame (as if it was used and had been dropped, or dragged along a rough surface). I returned that one and requested a replacement, so I may update my review when I receive that one.As for the product itself, the other one that is not damaged is nice. Other reviewers said that the hooks are faulty and that it falls off the wall easily (could be why mine is scratched?) but the sellers must have updated the backing bc mine is nothing like the other reviewers described, or pictured. Mine have thick metal clips that grip the back of the frame by pressure. So much pressure that I had get my husband to squeeze the clips and take them off. (You have to remove the clips to get the backing off, and insert the art.) Then I had him squeeze them back on. They are very difficult to remove. There's NO WAY it could fall. It would have to defy gravity (raise itself up off the clip) AND horizontal pressure (squeeze the clip to pop it out).I also read some reviews that said the glass cracked easily when they were handling it. Again, I don't see how. My husband had to apply a considerable amount of pressure to pry those clips off, and the glass didn't crack. Maybe the glass was already compromised due to poor shipping/handling, idk.I will attach a picture of the scratches, and of the quality backing/hooks when I have them with me.

We ordered this frame and it arrived with the glass cracked. We were quickly provided a replacement by Amazon and the second frame also arrived with an even severely damaged glass - this time the shards of glass were also falling out of the packaging. The packaging for this delicate glass item needs to vastly improve to help it arrive in one piece. Started return process unfortunately for the second unit now.

I have to admit that I haven't tried to hang these yet, but these frames are really good quality. The mechanics used to seal the back of the frame are great and keep your photo from slipping or moving, plus unlike those staples that you used to bend to the cardboard back, these things won't break off with a few image replacements. The metal, the color, the packing it came in, all great quality, real glass... color me happy and impressed! They even have a nice wight to them, I can't think of a thing to complain about.

I am going to put this bluntly, this frame is structurally flawed and comes with a faulty hang system.I originally purchased this product about five weeks ago and hung it in my basement. Within a week the hang system failed as the frame warped due to the excessive weight of the glass & frame and an inadequate interior lip length. The frame fell and nearly hit my son.I called Amazon and they felt I got a bad apple and sent me a replacement. I proceeded to hang this about two weeks ago. Last night I awake to a crash and the same thing happened. I reviewed instructions provided and suggested tips online for these hang systems prior to both installations and followed them to a "t".DO NOT BUY. THE FRAME IS TOO HEAVY FOR THIS SUPPORT SYSTEM.

Received with glass completely broken. TWICE. (As many other reviewers 👇🏻) Not only a little crack, glass EXPLOSED. This is why : No mention "fragile" on the box and just one layer of bubble wrap. I bought a dishwashing brush last week with more wrapping than that ! Foam, paper ball, cardboard and stuff to prevent the frame moving !?! The second box didn't have enough tape to be close properly, so there was missing pieces of glass and a lot of glass pieces everywhere on my floor. I hope nobody was hurt during delivery ! It's a shame, because the frame looks good, though, but they are too idiots to wrap it correctly EVEN WITH ALL THE COMMENTS 👏🏻.

I had gotten back a refunded frame as the first one had cracks running along the glass panel. This frame as well as the last one are both plagued with the same issue of a cracked glass panel. Mistakes happen, but having the same mistake repeat twice is a bit unpleasant and unacceptable.

The frame looks pretty. No issues with the look of it.However, when we were setting it up, the materials already looked very cheap - you have to be careful not to get cut on the thin sheet metal bent into the shape of the frame. You are supposed to hang the frame with the provided hanging wire. This is pretty standard, but the way the wire attaches to the frame is by flimsy looking pieces of metal which you lodge between the frame and the cardboard/glass and tighten with a screw. The instructions say you shouldn't tighten the screws too much because the whole thing can break from the pressure. We did tighten it quite a bit because it just felt more secure that way and no damage was done to the glass and frame.About a month later, the frame just *fell off* the wall. It was night, so, apart from freaking out a bit, we decided to handle it in the morning (it fell behind our sofa, so it was obscured from view at that point). Come morning, we move the sofa to get the frame out only to be greeted by an apocalypse of broken glass! And not any broken glass, mind you! It fell apart in the worst possible way - it looked like you smashed a croissant made out of glass on our floor. So many thin sharp slivers! Absolutely horrible way to start a day.Anyway, the frame looks good, but I will never buy anything else from the same brand/store because of the absolute lowest quality materials this was made out of.

The materials and construction seem cheap: the frame was a little rickety and the mat board was quite thin, like card rather than mat board. Don't let this disuade you, though. The frame looks great on the wall– doesn't look cheap at all once hung– and the black metal is much more attractive and tasteful than any similar black wood frame you can buy at ikea etc. I'm very happy with it and would buy again in a heartbeat

Frames look as expected, would be better if a white cardboard that comes with other frames I’ve gotten in the past, I did use the piece of paper that came with the frame for a white background, the packaging print is somewhat visible when used for the flip side. If not used, the backing is recycle-cardboard.Delivery-wise, Amazon Prime dropped the ball hard. Wanted 2 as a gift, but the only shipped 1/2. Ended getting the 2nd free because they forgot to ship the 2nd, which I recieved almost 2 weeks after the order.

Amazon tried their hardest by double-boxing this, but it still arrived with broken glass. The combination of hard metal frame and seemingly low glass quality meant it was unable to survive the package handlers. Frame looked of mediocre quality, so I didn’t ask for a replacement. For this size of frame, I went out to an old brick ‘n’ mortar store and picked one up instead. Cost a bit more, but arrive home intact.

Bought this to hang a poster in my son's room so not too bothered by the cheap build of this product. It did come cracked the first time around but the seller just sent me another one although shipping times were a little long. Would buy again for not too important hangings

These look really good but the reviews are bang on; the frames are cheaply constructed, the brackets are difficult to deal with, and it is easy to scratch the glass with the brackets. The gold frame is the perfect thickness and has a nice sheen. The matte is thin. So it depends on whether you want to deal with the hassle to achieve a certain look (and hopefully you don’t damage the frames while trying to put something in them). They are definitely not designed for frequent content changes.

I will say, for the size of the frame it was definitely pricey! I decided since it would be a staple peice in my office, to go for it! I love how it looks!! Assembly wasn’t as tough as the others claim it was & thankfully the company wrapped it several times in super thick bubble wrap to ensure it wouldn’t break! Looks great!

I first ordered one of these and then three more. I like them very much. They are simple, attractive and I really like that they come with a matte. I found with all of them that there were tiny little fragments of glass loose in the frame that i had to vaccuum out carefully to avoid having them fall out, but aside from that the frames were and are very nice. I will likely order again.

It is a very simple frame but looks great. Just what I was expecting. I used it as part of a wall gallery with a mix of other frames and this one makes it so much more interesting.

Buen marco de aluminio, no es de la mejor calidad pero por el precio esta mas que bien, un poco duras las cosas que sostienen la foto para que no se mueva la foto pero de ahí en fuera todo bien, llegó bien empaquetado para que no se fuera a maltratar, recomendado

Beautiful, simple frame. My only issue is the material of the frame leaves marks on the wall when it rubs against it even slightly... but they do wipe off!

Excelente calidad - precio, muy elegante, es versátil ya que puedes colocarlo en cualquier pared de cualquier color, lo recomiendo ampliamente.
