The BEST book on teaching rhythm to beginners
I am a piano teacher and this book is amazing in teaching the students how to understand and play rhythms. Every student I have used this book with has had success in playing rhythms. Do yourself a favour and buy this.

In. Love.
I LOVE the seamless, methodical approach of this book! It’s perfect for lesson warmups or metronome practice. I start all my students on the Kodaly method, so I love using the Rhythm Keeper to transition them into numeric counting. The illustrations are beautiful too. :)Worth every dollar!

Delightful rhythm learning book
I love this book! I’ve been using it in my studio this year with excellent results. My students are charmed by the illustrations and are eager to show me their clapping assignments. We tell stories about the husky in the book, and I show them videos of my musical husky singing along with my daughter’s flute practice. The spacial alignment of the pages is actually helping the kids learn to read music too, without their realizing (almost the best way to learn?) I hesitated making it a required book because it is more expensive, but once I showed any doubting parents that the book has a long use they were pleased. It’s an excellent resource for private and group lessons and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Amazing resource for music lessons
I'm a professional cellist and teacher, and I absolutely love using this book with my students. Rhythm is often overlooked with string players, and I struggled to find a way to incorporate working on rhythm into our lessons. This book has changed all that. It's a wonderful resource that gives an excellent foundation with rhythm. It teaches students valuable skills of mental practice-- how to practice away from their instrument. I also love that my students can bring it with them when they travel! A must-have for teachers of all instruments.

I'm a music teacher & use this book for students of all levels and instruments!!! It's super helpful and fun.Are there any plans for a Kindle or otherwise downloadable version? Please?? :) When I travel, I like to keep all my teaching books on my computer. I would DEFINITELY pay for a Kindle version if it was available.

An outstanding resource for understanding rhythm.
It may sound like a cliche, but this book is truly a must-have for music teachers and their students. The layout is inviting, with easy-to-read explanations and artwork that will engage students. The book was obviously written with love by experienced music teachers. The pragmatic approach makes a lot of sense. The exercises evolve logically to keep a student’s attention—and they are fun for parents who want to participate with their children in learning to count out notes.

Good for all instruments and for kids or adults
This is it! This is the rhythm instruction book teachers and students will love and appreciate. Rhythm Keeper presents an easy-to-teach method, logical in its progression, with a very attractive, uncluttered format. The illustrations are delightful! This book would be excellent for a teacher with a studio of young students, or for independent-learning adults who love to play or sing but never really "got" how to count.
