Follow the directions.....
I have a favorite design popsocket that finally lost it's grip power after 1.5 years of daily use. Wanted to keep and resuse it and was thrilled to find these adhesive dots. I've always trusted the 3M brand so decided to give these a try.You need to follow the directions, that's the most important part. I cleaned the old glue off the popsocket just by rubbing and pulling it off. Then I used the alcohol pad to clean it completely. I removed the yellow backing of the glue dot and placed it on the popsocket. I waited the 5 minute minimum for it to set up.I applied the popsocket to a new phone case that is glitter on the back so it's slightly textured. I cleaned the surface of the case where the popsocket would be going. I then used the tab to peel the red adhesive backing off the adhesive dot. Now..it was a little tough to do this as the foam with the glue on it kept coming with it but I would smooth the tab back down and kept trying until the 3rd try, it began to separate from from adhesive foam dot.I then applied the newly adhesived (I know, that's not a word) popsocket to the phone case and pressed well. I turned the case over so the popsocket was down and took a heavy object (for me it was a hammer) and laid it on top of the case (head down, handle up like an upside T). I left it like that for 24 hours. This adhesive becomes more adherent over the that time and it's at it's full power at 24 hrs. I then put the case back on the phone. Done!!! You don't have to go without using your phone/device for 24 hours though. If you are putting it directly on a phone, you just need to NOT USE the popsocket for 24 hours to give it a chance to set up and cure. I did it this way because I was putting it on a case so I didn't need to use it for that time.I have been using the case with popsocket for over a week and the popsocket has not budged. It feels very secure and is holding firmly.Just follow the directions and you should have success too! Don't take shortcuts on the curing time...wait the 24 hours and if possible, use some weight to make sure it's making good contact with your case/phone. Of course, if you are putting it directly on a phone, use your own judgement on using weight or not.

Doesn’t fit PopSocket PopMount 2 like advertised
So the adhesion is wonderful. It sticks, that’s for sure. My biggest qualm or “complaint” is that I purchased this over other listings because it’s advertised that it fits the PopMount2 for the car. It doesn’t. It’s slightly bigger than the back of the popMount, so it hangs out around the Mount. Not necessarily a negative, but something to be aware of if aesthetic is big to you. Also it’s grey (not black like my mount) so it doesn’t even blend in. It’s probably gonna collect dirt and dust too, so there’s that.Update; three months later. It has attracted a little bit of dirt, but that is OK. I also don’t know if it’s because of the adhesive or just where it is placed on my dash, but it comes unstuck on the top sometimes and I have to push it back maybe once a week. Just something to think about. It may also be due to my phones weight. I have a 14 promax with a MagSafe wallet, so there is a decent amount of weight held

Follow the instructions and you will be very satisfied.
There is nothing to dislike about this product. I got a new phone and case last May. I removed my socket from the old phone and thoroughly removed the adhesive from the bottom of the socket. There are various methods to do this. I first try anything in the kitchen that has oil in it - Crisco, peanut butter, Pam, mayo, etc. I rub the oil product into the adhesive and then keep rubbing with a paper towel until the adhesive starts to loosen. It can take awhile and you may have to add more oil product - just keep rubbing. If the last little bit does not come off, use a product like GooGone to remove it which again requires more rubbing. The socket base must be totally free of the old adhesive. I then cleaned the bottom of the socket with rubbing alcohol - several times to remove any trace of the oil I used to remove the adhesive. I followed the instructions for applying the double sided disk to the socket, cleaned the phone case with the rubbing alcohol to remove any trace of oil, stuck the socket to the case and did not use the socket for at least 48 hours. Two times I accidentally used it but the adhesive finally cured after the recommended amount of time and it's perfect. I would recommend putting a piece of tape over the socket so you can't use it for the required amount of time for it to fully adhere. The socket has been on my phone case for for three months with no problem - absolutely as good as the day I put the socket on my old phone. I highly recommend this product.
