Baron Otard VSOP Cognac, 70 cl

This stuff is stunning, punching well above its weight. Those reviewers who say it matches or even betters cognacs at twice the price are not indulging in hyperbole. I don't see why anybody would bother paying such prices when they could have this. In early 2016, it was not uncommon to see this discounted on Amazon UK to a mere £22 or so. Sadly, those days are gone, but it is regularly priced at £25-30 and is still a bargain. It's RRP of around £40 was reasonable in any case, for the quality of this magificantly beefy spirit. The leather, the toffees, the creaminess, the finish...Yum.

This is an exceptional congac, even more impressive considering the price. A very affordable but top notch drink. Silky smooth and a satisfying flavour. Enjoy!

For the price this is an excellent Cognac. Smoother and fruitier than most in its price bracket. I couldn't give it 5 stars as, in my opinion, the similarly priced François Voyer VSOP is superior.

superb cognac. I'd never heard of the brand before, but other Amazon reviews convinced me to give this a try. Delicious whether served neat or part of a cocktail, BO VSOP is excellent value and extremely high quality.My one (albeit very minor) complaint is that the odd shaped bottle isn't the easiest for pouring, and so I would recommend you decant it otherwise you may be cursing when some of the precious spirit gets spilled!

The best cognac I have ever drank. I had it with a Cohiba and both went together perfect. It was a match made in heaven as both the Cohiba and the Otard complimented each other 100%. I ordered it on Wednesday night at 21:30hrs and it was delivered the next day (Thursday) at 07:30hrs, talk about perfect delivery for the weekend BBQ. My best buddy who was with me and both families had NO criticism at all. This is the only cognac that I will be drinking from now on. It's so smooth and just delicious!

There are better VSOP brandies for the money. It's decent enough but has a bit of a bitter finish that spoils the initial taste.

Very, very impressed with this brandy. Came in a lovely presentation metal box and is in a beautiful bottle. For the money this is easily one of the best brandies for sale I have ever had. I will definitely buy this again, very smooth and not harsh at all. Very pleased.

Eigentlich bin ich immer dem Whiskey treu - aber mit diesem Cognac macht man nichts falsch. Er schmeckt angenehm mild, sogar etwas fruchtig. Lediglich im Abgang kratzt er etwas. Für einen Cognac in der Preisklasse ist er aber völlig in Ordnung.Optisch macht die Flasche auch was her und in Gesellschaft kam er immer gut an.

Ein hervorragender Cognac im mittleren Preissegment und in einer ansprechenden Verpackung.Der Cognac "Baron Otard VSOP" besitzt eine ausgewogene Farbe, einen angenehmen Duft und Geschmack, welcher sich im Mund erst voll entwickelt. Er zeigt ein ausgewogenes weiches, samtartiges Bukett in ebensolchem Abgang, leichte Geschmacksnoten nach Karamell und Vanille.

Gekauft wurde der Cognac um Opas Cognac Schwenker zu Weihnachten mal wieder zu entstauben. Da ich sonst Whisky oder Rum trinke war ich vom Aroma positiv überrascht. Angenehm mild und fruchtig im Geschmack.
