I can't believe I waited so long to investigate what was wrong with my AC in my 2007 Honda civic. After some research I came to this product on amazon and started reading the reviews. One of the other reviews discussing the AC sounding like a poker card attached to the tire of a bicycle sounded like my exact story. Sometimes it wouldn't blow air but I could tell the hot and cold still worked. When it did blow air it made that sound I just described. Since another review described my exact situation I went ahead and bought the part. I have never worked on my car before, but I just bought a house so I'm trying to save money anywhere I can. Auto zone had the factory part for $97 plus tax, however, the reviews are spot on that it isn't a powerful tornado like the factory blower. I will say during my 1 hour commute to work today in 30° weather after 5 minutes I started sweating and had to turn the heater down and Crack a window, so it definitely gets the job done. This is an excellent replacement part for $40 and it literally took me 5 minutes to replace, all I needed was a screw driver. After 3 months with a broken blower I feel dumb for not putting in the 1 minute effort to figure out how to do this myself sooner.

I replace a fan motor that had stopped working, but had no physical damage. I'm not sure if this one had a defect or if it wasn't the same dimensions as the original, but it started fine on low. I moved it to high and it fell apart in side. I took it out and a chunk of the fan was off and caught, causing it to break mor fins. It may have been a fluke, but I cannot recommend as of now.
