Christmas Jubilation: Sparkling Selections for Flute and Piano

I bought this book and then exchanged for another it because the flute book was missing. The second time, it came exactly the same way! No Flute book! It is essentially useless even though the arrangements are lovely!

This music is definitely for more advanced players. I had wished it came with a CD so that I could hear what the pieces were supposed to sound like.... it doesn't. But I found a place where you can listen to it online at Shawnee Press. So if you're like me then you will appreciate being able to hear it. (and you can check it out to see if it's something you want to buy!)Some of the pieces are a little far from the originals-- and may not be well recognized. If anything they will appreciate the skills.I bought this right after Christmas. I'm hoping to perfect a bunch of them before next Christmas. But with 4 kiddos running around-- we'll see if that happens!

Good selections that are accessible to high school and higher ability. Will be using this Christmas.

Even though the cover says "Flute Booklet Included," there is no included flute part—only the piano score. I returned it the first time thinking it was an error. Perhaps the flute part had fallen out. But the replacement arrived the same way. The musical arrangements themselves are fine, but the flute part on the score is so small, that it is just not functional.

I am always looking for excellent arrangements that are reasonably challenging but workable, and that appeal to the general public. Stumbled upon this book last fall and took a chance after hearing the arrangements on another website. I give my VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION for this collection of Christmas arrangements. Performed many of them during the Christmas season and have never had so many favorable comments. These arrangements are fun to play and audiences love them. I am waiting for more from this outstanding arranger!

I only received the flute part!
