Works well for kid’s taekwondo
We bought this mouthguard for my six year old daughter for taekwondo. She is a typical six year old and can’t remember where she puts anything and since she is old enough and a high enough rank to spar, misplacing a mouth guard is a problem. She lost her guard and we needed to buy a new one in the pro shop which is expensive so I ordered this one as well since we don’t have to size it and it is pink, my daughters favorite color. Always a good idea to have a back up. She finds this guard comfortable, which is saying something, she has a pretty severe cross bite (yeah, we have been saving for braces since she was a year because it was super obvious then and her dentist agrees, so something comfortable isn’t guaranteed). Anyway, seems to keep her safe (granted six year olds don’t hit or kick super hard but she’s been okay sparring so far) and it’s comfortable and a color she is happy with.

You still have to boil it.
I have used allot of mouthpieces for boxing and weight training so I don't break my teeth and I thought I'd give this brand a try. I have always boiled my mouthpieces and this said no boiling required but know it does say to on the back of product container if it don't fit to well. Did it fit great without boiling? No. Right out of package is not snug at all for your teeth so be prepared to do what you have to for every other mouthpiece out there. Without boiling its just a loose fitting piece of plastic and you'll loose your teeth if it's not fitted.

He has terrible gagging problem and the boil and bite guards were ...
I purchased this for my 5 year old son as he was starting hockey. He has terrible gagging problem and the boil and bite guards were not working out. But this was a life saver because It is the only mouth guard my son tolerated!

We are really happy to have found this product
We are really happy to have found this product, which locks in place better than most other no-boil mouthguards. My younger son usually has issues with chewing his mouthguard during practice, so we need a product that stays put in his mouth. We have tried the pricier custom-molding products, but he does not like the boiling process and we were never able to get them to fit in the way they should. We ordered the child's size (he is 9 years old, 50 inches tall), and it was a bit large for his mouth. Once we cut off a little bit off the top, it fits him perfectly and we've had no issues.

Too small for an adult... and uncomfortable
The first thing I noticed was that it looked awfully small. I looked to see that I didn't order a kid's size by mistake, however, the package says "Adult". So i took it out and put it on and immediately noticed a few things:1. It's definitely too small. It only reached to my first set of molars. Hey, OPRO, what about the rest of my teeth? I took it out, rinsed it out and asked my 10 yr old son to try it on. It barely fit his mouth. This adult sized mouthguard may be better fit for a 5 yr old.2. Not only was it small, but it was uncomfortable, especially on my gums.3. Even if this mouthguard was actually big enough for my mouth, there is no way this loosey-goosey generic fit mouthguard would protect my teeth with a direct hit to my jaw. I would definitely use a boil type to soften it up and go for a custom fit.Summary: I should have just gone with what I know and bought another cheapo Sanabul or bought any number of the boil and bite mouthguards available on Amazon. Thankfully Amazon has a great customer service policy and returns were easy.

Not great for grinding teeth protection while sleeping
We bought this mouth guard hoping that it would reduce damage that is occurring our 9-year-old daughter's teeth while she is sleeping - she tends to grind her teeth. At first, it was uncomfortable for her and she determined that I needed to cut the height down on the top back towards the molars. This was easy to do given the slots that are provided in that location. There are a couple of other spots that she said don't seem to fit quite right, but no pain is associated with these areas. Although she will fall asleep with the mouth guard in, it tends to fall out at some point during the night, or perhaps she spits it out. I'm thinking that some sort of slim molded liner might be better for her at this point.Otherwise, this mouth guard is well made and looks like it would offer a lot of protection during sports activities for a child in the 8-10 year old range. I only gave it a mid-level rating because it just didn't work that well for our application.

No retention
I am not sure why I thought this would work out of the packaging, but I cannot get this mouthguard to 'snap-fit' at all. The height is not too high and it does not extend too far back, yet it does not stay in her mouth properly at all. It is also very thin and flexible, so I am pretty certain it will not protect from frontal impact at all. I am going to go with the boil and fit mouth guards which should give me better retention as well as better impact protection because they tend to be thicker.

Great for wrestling.
Got a couple of these for a wrestling boy with braces. They were excellent for this use. No bloody lips.He said that these were comfortable, and did not restrict talking like some others. If you like my review then click so.... Thanks.

It really fits straight out the box and stays in allowing you to talk!
They really do just fit straight out of the box, no heating in water etc. My kids are 11 and 13, they both love these gum shields for playing rugby.Note - we checked with Team Coach and they do appear to be 'legal' /suitable for use in club training/matches according to RFU England site.As they fit so much better than the ones you heat up both kids are no longer fiddling with their gum shield, or carrying it in their hand when the ball comes their way - hence improved their playing too! Also better fit allows them to talk with it in. Forgot to mention little V shape at front also allows better breathing, which my son appreciates because he suffers runny noses and that makes breathing a problem with the old style ones.Only complaint is the rubber is thinner and could get chewed through easily if the wearer tends to stand and chew on it - like my daughter! However as the snap fit is such a genius product, and stays in on it's own - always - I am still awarding 5 stars.Have recommended to everyone at the rugby club - adults and kids.

Junior version - nice and simple up to 11-years
Had mouth guards before for the kids, but we needed to regularly remould them by placing them in hot water to fit. These ones are nice and simple and require no boiling/heating to fit. There is just a simple empty track to hold the top teeth in place safely. My kids are 8 &11 so We ordered two of the junior ones, as it states junior is for children up to 11. It was fine for my 8-year old but we had to return the second one for my 11-year old as it was clearly going to be far too small before we even opened it, so will be getting her the adult version. The mouth guard comes in a variety of bright colours but the kids wanted the white.Overall a great product and recommended.

Great Price - all you need
Having spent too much money over the years for special moulded guards that my kids still find uncomfortable as they make the front of it too high EVERY TIME, I am really happy to pay just £6 for something that does the job. Kids suck the guard in when using it, so it stays where it should and guards the teeth. It is 'sectioned' so it isn't solid all the way round like the 'boil' guards which makes it much comfier. I got the junior kids size and it just fits my 13 year old son (who is 155cm - so not terribly tall) who has a small mouth. I would say for taller boys, you would want to go the size up.

Doesn't Work
My son doesn't much like the boil ones but needs a mouth guard for Rugby so thought would give this a try. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I can't really see how its meant to work either - its fairly hard plastic, there's nothing obvious that would grip the mouth/teeth.The instructions say if it dosen't fit to heat it in boiling water - but it isn't very good used like that eithersave your money and buy a normal one

Just the job for school sports
I ordered this for my son who is about to start secondary school. A mouth guard is required for the school and this was the recommended brand on the schools welcome letter. I found this one here and it's perfect. It fits really well and it comes with a nice little case. My son loves the fact that it is black and he is looking forward to using it at school in the next year.
