Great for Aga Little Wenlock Stove in Alcove - 3 months of daily use
I purchased this little fan in February, 2020 and decided to see how it performed daily for at least 3 months before submitting my review. So in essence, the fan has now been spinning for an average of 14 hours per day, for at least 90 consequtive days, spending a total of 1,260 hours spinning.Did it live up to my expectations?1) Reliability has proved to be 100% satisfactory. This unit has without fail, started to spin soon after lighting our Aga Little Wenlock Stove, usually between 5pm and 6pm each night. It runs very quietly, and impressively is still running at 8am the next morning, even when the stove has gone out. (But then this stove is cast iron so retains its heat several hours after the fire has extinguished.)2) It has always been quiet in operation, such that my wife and I don't even hear it spinning.3) Crucially on performance: This aspect, is where I give the product maximum points! Its small blades spin quickly, and although it is no way comparable to a 240 volt mains powered fan, the improvement of heat circulation from our little stove is very noticeable. The impact is very subtle. With our stove mounted in the alcove of what was an open fire previously, a lot of the stove heat dissipated into the surrounding bricks. With this little fan doing its job, that heated air now flows gently into our lounge.4) Testing performance: Two little aspects convinced me that this fan was delivering improved heating performance:Firstly was placing the fan on one top corner of the stove, and standing in it's hardly noticeable draft, then standing at the other corner of the stove, (no draft), comparing warmth, on a cold night. It felt much warmer standing where the fan was aimed.Secondly, our double length lounge (heated only by our little stove and a double radiator each end), warmed up much quicker, with the TRV valves of the radiators cutting off their heat much earlier than prior to using the stove fan. Conclusion for me: This product scores my maximum points, which is 10 out of 10.Final consideration regarding use, and noise:I have noted that some folks have reported noise in use. One aspect that will cause undue noise is if the unit is not seated properly flat before use. With our Aga Little Wenlock stove, the top is not flat, as it has some cosmetic ridges etc. So for that reason, it is a must to experiment initially when positioning the device, to ensure that it will not rock, ie. it needs to be seated in a stable position. This was a two minute job for me though, and not an issue.I will likely be purchasing a second one of these units before next winter, to have one on each side of our stove.

Makes more difference than expected
It's little, but powerful. It pushes the heat out into the room better than expected. There is a bit of noise from it, but once you have the TV on it's not that noticeable.I would buy one of these again because of the compact size and heat it dispurses.

Please read review
I purchased one of these and arrived very quickly, worked great for TWO days then stopped working!! I contacted amazon who replaced it with a new one (GREAT) This one then worked fine for a WEEK then again stopped working so I contacted seller direct and to give credit where credit was due they were very helpful and sent out two new motor replacement kits. This was great and the two fans worked great for approxiamately three weeks and have both now stopped working again so have given up as i refuse to purchase motor replacements as they are £25 each And decided they are just not worth the money!! So save yourself money and hassle and dont purchase these i would not reccomend them in the slightest!! (when working they are great but sure they are supposed to last more than a couple of weeks)

Neat Little Fan - and zero noise!
We got one these a year back and we’ll impressed with results. This past week bought a second. The fans are so neat and unobtrusive - and having both allows us to distribute warm air in two directions! Happy customer.

Turbo charge your stove.
A stove using just naturally rising warm air to circulate heat into the room is moving air very slowly. Air therefore insulates the stove holding the heat in or near to the stove. This little fan generates it's own electricity, using the stove's heat absorbed through the base. That powers a small electric motor, which drives the blades of the fan (from about 5o degrees C) the speed increases as the stove gets hotter. The heat output is FAR, FAR better than I expected. It really is like a turbocharger, once the stove is hot it really shifts air.My wife was 'reluctant', worried that the fan would detract from the look of the stove, but this one is small and unobtrusive, you hardly notice it.., partly because the best site for it is on top, at the back of the stove where it draws cooler air, protecting the motor wires from excessive heat, and blowing air over the stove's hot surface. It has gained my wife's approval. The motor and blades are necessarily light, but the frame surrounding them is solid and sturdy protection. Before owning the fan we used to gradually open the lounge door and heat the house as heat from the stove increased. Now the door is open much faster, the jumpers come off and we use less wood.I don't hear the fan unless I listen hard... The only noise problem comes from elderly relatives snoring as they get too snug! I'm glad I didn't get anything bigger, I do recommend it and would certainly replace it if necessary.

The Fan is Very Small . Only about 20cm square.
I ordered this fan on 7th April and it arrived on April 20th. 2020. It is quite small but looks very neat and unobtrusive (unlike my previous fan of 3years.) We had a very mild Autumn here in Spain and did not need to fire up our Woodburner until the end of November. We were very impressed with the small fan , and it really blows round a lot of air, much more than any previous fan that we have ever used, and starts up much quicker, plus the bonus thermometer is great to keep an eye on the heat output of our stove. So here we are on January 8th, 2021 ,7weeks of use later,( only half a day's use daily so far) and it stops working on our first day of snow. I have tried many things to get it working ...taking it off the heat, checking for loose wires, checking that the fan bearings have not siezed etc.,but nothing works. As I said before It was brilliant while it was working, but 7 weeks half daily use is not very cost effective. I will see if I get a reply and solution from the seller!

Silencieux
Silencieux - se déclenche rapidement - efficacité peu probante

Ventola
