The Authority on Cartoons
I had always thought that someone should put out a guide to all the old cartoons and list all the episodes of the Saturday Morning cartoons of the past, as well as listing the titles and years of the theatrically released toons of our distant past.Little did I know that it had already been done, and quite well, too.I can't tell you how many times I've searched the "performingArts" section of bookstores hoping to find such a book. This book was first published in 1981,so it covers the years through the 1970s.Just perfect for the years that interest me.It's very comprehensive in it's research. In fact, the only cartoon I'veNoticed missing from my era is The Hardy Boys from 1970. I wonder why.I'm giving the book 4 stars as I believe it could include the broadcst dates of the Saturday cartoons an a few more facts or trivia would have been neat, but otherwise,It's a great book that's sure to bring back great memories and trigger some "Oh-wow,I totally forgot about that one!"-moment. Like when I saw the listing for Fearless Fly. What a fun book.I'm so glad I finally found it.

The only reference you'll ever need
Do you ever watch those cable networks like CARTOON NETWORK, or TOON DISNEY? Jeff Lenburg's THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ANIMATED CARTOONS will answer all of your nagging questions, from particular voice actors to episode titles. For a long time I suspected that Ted Knight, from MARY TYLER MOORE was the narator on SUPERFRIENDS. Now I Know! It's a must have book for video collector's as well. I collect superhero videos, and now I can tell the 4 different SPIDERMAN shows apart. The subdivided text includes: Series, Features, Shorts and Specials...

Good Resource
This tome is quite worthy for any cartoon fan, the information seems well researched there are a few time where the actors and characters for a show are mismatched and not always are all characters listed.
