I bought a pair of these wall sconces to hang behind my desk to help balance out the room at night. They arrived well packed and everything seemed to be there except there were no bulbs as shown. If they weren't included, I didn't see that in the description.The instructions were merely focused on how to hardwire the sconce to existing electrical. However, in the photos, it clearly shows the electrical cord as if you can hang them without hardwiring them. I struggled to put them together and at one point, had to take it apart and start over again because it wasn't coming together properly. It was a bit of a struggle getting the cord to wrap inside the elbow joints--could have used an extra set of hands.The user is also tasked with joining the wiring of the unit and the electrical cord (no problem there, just saying). Once I had it all assembled and inserted a bulb, I was ready to hang them up. However, the backplate of the base wasn't flush with the rim of the base, making it wobbly whenever I got it near my picture hanging hook. After several attempts to hang it, it finally grabbed onto the hook, but pulled away from the wall a bit and wouldn't hang flush with the wall. I finally decided on Plan B: rigging some picture hanging wire which did the trick.I like soft light as you can see in the photo and used 40-watt bulbs. These sconces put off a nice warm light (note the inside of the shade is a matte black) and they were just what I was looking for. Very tricky putting together and hanging up, but I'm overall happy with my purchase.

These sconces are pretty heavy duty. I wanted them for picture frames I was putting on my wall. I did the puck light trick with these so I removed the cord that plugs into the wall, which was pretty easy, just a few untwist of wires and pull the cord through the whole. It's nice because if I change my mind and want to throw them back on it'll still work. I removed the back metal plate of the sconce screwed it onto the wall then mounted the base of the sconce to the plate with the little bronze/gold screws it comes with and it was done! These have more of a gold accent than bronze just an fyi but we didn't mind we were kind of shooting towards more of a gold appearance with these anyways.

Pretty but only one of the two lights works!I was so excited to get these lights! They are so nice and look great in the bedroom. Got them both installed on the wall and turned on the lights to find out that only one is working. Took down the one not working, checked all wiring connections, still not working. Brought it to an electrical store had them check the wiring. There is a bad connection somewhere between the socket and the connectors on the wall plate. Afraid to unscrew the socket as it may damage the wires. I shouldn't have to trouble shoot the problem. Guess I'll have to return them.March 9, 2019 UPDATEShortly after I posted my initial review of these lights I was contacted by Ella from Emango customer service. She offered to send replacement lights which I accepted. They arrived very quickly but on the day before we left on an extended road trip. We got back home yesterday so I got to work on checking and installing the lights. They work perfectly and look great in our bedroom! I love these lights! I would recommend these lights and this company. Thank you Ella for making this purchase a pleasant experience.

I’ve wanted sconces for each side of my fireplace and above my frames, but didn’t want to hard wire them in. Wanted something gooseneck style and modern, and something I could plug in. I was so shocked and excited to see that both options for hardwire and plug in came with the lights, and that they were a set! I’ve partnered them with smart bulbs connected to my Alexa for easy on and off because the switch itself does get hidden behind the frames. Given my placement I would have loved if the cord was a bit longer, I’ve had to use an extension cord because they fell 1.5 inches short of reaching the outlet. ( they’re about 79inches above outlet) but that was an easy fix. Looking into purchasing another set to place in each of my boys rooms.

I really love these wall lamps. The reason for my 4 stars is because one came scratched pretty badly on the hood portion and another had a scuffed base. It wasn’t anything I couldn’t conceal by positioning the lamps in a way it wouldn’t be noticeable but still a bit disappointing. Overall, I would buy again!

These lamps look awesome with that industrial chic vibe but something we didn't expect was how much less light they cast than our old bedside lamps. These are directional lamps so only cast light down. I'd say our bedroom is 50% darker using the same bulbs as before in these lamps.

They work great

The lamps look nice on the wall: I love the black on the inner lining and the brass colour. However, the screw placement on the brackets are in different spots from one lamp to the other, which wasn't helpful when you are trying to keep things aligned.When the lamp is on it flickers ever so slightly. We had another lamp in the same outlet that worked fine so it leads us to believe that the construction of the lamp is shifty.

Exactly what I was looking for, good quality, I wanted to use some industrial shades I had for our kitchen Reno. This works really great and good price!
