I have carpal tunnel and needed a wrist support. I also work a vet clinic so I needed a brace that could withstand frequent hand washing and bodily fluid exposure. These seem to do the trick. I have been wearing them daily for the past month and they really help my pain and also my grip when opening pill bottles. 1 star removed because they are super sticky and I have to apply baby powder in order to get them back on. Also, the end of the thumb tends to roll down when I apply loose latex gloves.

I have had CMC arthritis in both thumbs and have tried several splints and thumb supports over the years, some of which are very good. I recently purchased these gel wrist/thumb braces and was quite amazed at how much support and pain relief they provide without being as restrictive as a splint. Sometimes, there are medical reasons you have to wear a splint that immobilizes your thumb and wrist, but if you're not confined to wearing a hard splint and want something that is comfortable and provides good wrist and thumb support, you should give these gel braces a try.

I bought these mainly for the thumb wrap. I have pain in my basal saddle joint, especially after working with garden tools. I've tried more elaborate thumb braces but they are awkward, get in the way, and are more costly as you have to buy two (they don't come in pairs.) I thought I'd give these a try. My first reaction was that they are too flimsy to make any difference, but I was wrong. These are lightweight enough to be comfortable to wear all the time, but they seem to also make a difference. I speculate part of their benefit is that they hold the heat of your body in on the joint. Heat is soothing. But they also provide just enough support to make it easier to hold your thumb in a relaxed position. These might not be the answer to everyone's needs but I'm happy with them. Oh, and I'm also happy that I bought the ones with holes as I think they provide more air circulation for my skin.

I highly recommend these braces with anyone with wrist and thumb pain. My pain was gone shortly after I put them on. It’s not bulky so it doesn’t get in the way when typing or texting. Also, the ventilated holes let in air so my hands don’t get sweaty.

Updated: rating lowered to one star. Having worn this brace during the warmer summer weather I have found that because the silicone is not 'breathable' my hand literally DRIPPED with sweat. I developed a slight skin irritation and had to quit wearing it. It was decidedly uncomfortable. Also disappointed in the lack of durability, it became slightly stretched out and eventually tore at the thumb hole.Definitely more visually appealing than the usual big clunky black ones, also a lot more comfortable. Price is right, lightweight, offers some compression on wrist BUT does not stabilize the thumb joint....so, the persistent dull ache of my arthritic thumb is relieved somewhat, but not the sharp stabbing pain that comes with stress or movement. (helpful hint - to make it easier to put on, turn it inside out and sprinkle with talcum powder - but not while you're wearing your best black slacks that you just got out of the cleaners!)

Awesome for arthritic thumbs & trigger thumb! I am so happy Amazon has this product. Both of the base of my thumb joints need surgery for arthritis & one also needs trigger thumb surgery. I can't have surgery right now because my husband is very ill. These gel wrist & thumb supports are exactly what I needed! They aren't cumbersome like most I've had & they do their job well. Another big plus is you can get them wet!!! I'd buy these again!

I had carpal tunnel goes off and on pain. Sometimes certain movements on my thumb hurts, i starts wearing them couple of hours the pain movement was gone. I liked the feeling when they were new so when i washed my hands i dried them before putting it back on and put some powder in it and felt like new again. I didn't smell anything rubbery or latex scent on it.

I bought these because my wrists and thumb have been bothering me. These are great! They helped Aleviate my wrists & thumb pain immediately. Another great advantage it has over traditional braces is that since it is made out of gel, I am able to clean up easily while having them on, in fact I wash my hand normaly wearing these. I would definitely recommend these gel braces!
